Taking my time with Darksiders and Dragon Age: Origins. Probably 2/3 through each.
I am trying to pace myself so the games I want to play last me until the games I really want to play come out. These two will last me until White Knight Chronicles, which I will probably drop midway for FFXIII until I 100% it.
Mass Effect:
Finishing my third and final playthrough for my shepard import to ME2.
Started a female soldier playthrough(never played the female shepard default or anything else besides infiltrator)
Started to play Dragonica online again and trying to figure out how to stream the vidya on the computer.
Female Shepard was awesome simply because Jennifer Hale did a great job with the voice acting. Kinda sucks that all this ME2 press only talks about/shows male shepard.
Just finished an Impossible playthrough of Dead Space and a Hardcore playthrough of ME1, although my first battle in ME1 on Insanity mode against the 3 geth recon drones on Eden Prime took waaaaaaay too long and I had gotten ME1'd out. Tried to start up an Evil playthrough of inFamous but got bored, then replayed Shadow Complex.
Now I'm trying to tear through Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 before Saturday, this game is a lot better than I remember. Somehow I fucked up my first playthrough and didn't make anyone except Atton a Jedi, so this time around I've gotten Mira/Bao-Dur/Handmaiden as well. This game is also significantly better if you take the time to dupe the shit out of Handmaiden's Robes for components/cash, although the changes they made to the D20 system make melee characters ridiculously overpowered.
I still think Jade Empire is better than Kotor 1
Any tips for Impossible Dead Space? I still need to get around to finishing my own (only on chapter 3 >.> ), and so far it seems the best route is to max out your Plasma Cutter (had fun doing that already my first playthrough for the One Gun achievement/trophy), and conserve ammo as much as possible, as well as getting used to dying in two hits often.
it's a lot easier if you spring for the Tank Suit, which has 60% damage reduction.
Other than that yea I focused on upgrading the Plasma Cutter and Rig first, followed by the Stasis Module and Force Gun, then worked on the Line Gun with whatever money I had left.
Atreides we cant be friends anymore, if you think Jade Empire was better than kotor.
Im not saying Jade Empire was a terrible game, it was pretty good, but overall my least favorite Bioware game.
can we be more than friends if I change my mind?
No.
slowly plodding my way through Sands of Destruction. such a mediocre game for its pedigree. but it's still fun. the battle system is cheap as hell, but in the player's favor, which makes the game somewhat boring but not horrible.
beat Muramasa with both characters, I'm giving it a rest for now. someday I'll get every single blade and all the extra endings.
having a lot of fun with Super Mario Galaxy. I didn't like the Engine Room galaxies much, but the Garden galaxies are a blast. the molten lava world is the perfect balance between challenge and fun.
I'm playing Bayonetta. I love it. The references to VJ, Okami, and DMC among other things already make the game worth the price tag.
The hang between voice clips in Sands of Destruction is really starting to eat at me. It really kills any sense of being in the moment or drama in the story when you're just hanging out waiting for things to passss.
yeah, I've never seen voices that were handled so poorly. the voices themselves are okay, but the implementation is just... wtf? except for quips. quips are awesome.
So... overall, Sands of Destruction is an underwhelming game.
Gotcha.
It's worth a try, especially if you like Yasunori Mitsuda (and who doesn't?) or Masato Kato (sp?) but overall... yeah, underwhelming. makes me sad, I had such high hopes for it. it's the kind of game that could go from a 7/10 to a 9/10 with a few minor tweaks.
Yeah, that's really the kicker--that it could've been THAT much better and they slacked off on these little things that ended up having a big impact. I don't want to go on and on and become a broken record over this, but it's just balls to create an atmosphere that could've produced a really amazing DS game and let it slide into mediocrity.
Been helping the wife with the 2 player content on Little Big Planet when I'm not playing Army of Two: The 40th Day. I'm stuck in a particularly nasty section on that. Plus it seems like your teammate AI really went into the shitter this time around. I've had nothing but problems trying to keep Rios from running out into the open.
Chapter VI into Bayonetta. Also bought skate 2 brand new for $19.99 at best buy.
sorry to interrupt but
wtf is this ??

A scene from one of the episodes of Community, great show.
Playing Mass Effect and MW2 like everyone else. FFIV, ToS2, Borderlands and Demon's Souls on the side.
