It's been out for a little bit now but I didn't see a topic for the game.

What do you people think? I think the game is fantastic and it looks spectacular. I love how they redesigned all the characters and gave them new moves and weapons; that was a change that was very much needed.

The only downside I've seen so far, which is minor anyway, is I've noticed that the levels are a lot less involved and and not as objective based as the previous games. At least there are still objectives though.

Also, gg Koei for getting rid of gates and gate captains. Those have been incredibly annoying since 2.

I liked it a lot too, and its something that I would think I'd hate from first impressions. Pretty underrated game, imo.

loved it, a game ill hang on to for awhile. cleared musou with 5 of the characters i believe and then another game came out and havent really gotten to play it much since, but i know ill put it in again from time to time.

I've beat it with 3 from each, then The Leader (Liu Bei, Etc)... Im now fighting as Cao Cao, once i beat the game as him i'll unlock Lu Bu...

They sure do love to masturbate to this game. My favorites were 3 and maybe 4, did they actually improve it by much, or did they just consider adding editing mode as "new and improved content" like those that will not be named?

I thought it was pretty bad. I've been a fan of the series since DW2, but they've gone downhill since DW3. I'm not sure how you can say the game looked spectacular; I thought it looked choppy and mediocre at best. Even the CG cutscenes weren't spectacular, and those are very easy to polish in comparison to the in-game graphics and animations. Most of the animations in the game looked severely unpolished, such as any running animation that I saw and all of the water.

As far as gameplay goes, they completely screwed up the combo system. I still don't know what they were trying to accomplish with that, it made the game ridiculously easy. Some of the character updates made the character just complete crap, such as Sun Shang Xiang. They seemed to remove the ability to view enemy subofficers on the map. They completely removed items from the game. I wasn't able to play for very long but it seemed as though they removed alternative outfits for all of the characters.

This game seemed to have even fewer enemies visible on the screen at a time than any of the games in the past, which I don't know how they pulled off on the Xbox 360. It's a problem when half of the enemies that are standing within your attacking range are not visible on the screen. This alone made multiplayer unplayable.

As far as things that I did like go, I loved how it loaded the stage while viewing the preparation screen before a battle. I thought the ability to call your horse to come to you was a nice addition. I like the horse abilities that were added. That's about all I can think of at the moment, it's been a while since I played this.

I respect their attempt at making this game different from the other four games in the series, but I think they screwed it up. And I'm not the only one that feels this way, the game has gotten mostly negative reviews.

Maybe it was on my part, but the game was unplayable dark at night. I'm not sure if it I like it too much. I really dislike what they did to Lu Bu.

I'm a huge fan of the series. DW3 is still probably my favorite game of all time. That being said, I have mixed feelings about DW6. I love the updated graphics, still not MGS territory but dynasty warriors never broke ground on graphics. My biggest issues are the weapons they gave some of my favorite officers and the crappy combo system. I miss the old square square triangle combo system. This building up crap is lame. Also, I miss Xiahou Dun's giant schimitar. He used to be a combo monster in the old games, especially in 3 where he shot a fireball type move from his last attack. In this one he's really lame; the giant stick he has has horrible moves.
