Just saw somone (lvl.75 RDM Kiminobu), running around in Bastok Mines with this one. Baby Choco, seems to move faster than normal - but maybe that is just the little baby steps.

anyone know how to get The Pashow Circuit?
I have beaten CRA Classic awhile back but it does not seem to give me Pashow circuit.

New NPCs were added, the one in San d'Oria is Lafaurelle right by the stable building.

The Windy one (Tarutaru) is standing across from the stables, little way next to the Warp-Taru.
The Bastok one (Galka) is standing against the low stables wall next to the Circuit entrance.

A thanks! The races are kind of tough. 2/5 so far can't get the 3rd, guess i have to let my chocobo rest a day now.

I just obtained this today. The reward comes from the Monster Race series added in the recent update -- to participate, speak with the newly added racing NPC (In Windurst, the new NPC is Chualulu, who is standing in Windurst Woods just a short distance from the Chocobo Circuit entrance). After winning the fifth Monster Race there is a short cutscene in which you obtain the torque. The races thus far have been:

• 1. Dueler's Race

• 2. Survival Race

• 3. Deadly Race

• 4. Mystery Race

• 5. Lethal Race

Like the previous Official races, there is a chocobuck fee to enter, and you can only run a certain number per real-life day (I was allowed to run races 1 & 2 on the same day, and then one race per day after). A lost race can be re-run on the same day without waiting.

Story Details:
[spoiler:30el1ibe]Race #5 also involves a cutscene with the chocobo Sakura (the chick appearing in previous racing cutscenes) who turns out to actually be an adult chocobo who used a "transformation item" to appear as a baby, and is currently searching for her mother.[/spoiler:30el1ibe]

[spoiler:30el1ibe]There is an very tough Cactuar opponent in the race who spams a speed-up move, and I was only able to win after my chocobo hit him with a Pepper Biscuit. A Gysahl Bomb might also work.[/spoiler:30el1ibe]

Depends upon your Chocos stats. If your high in Str and End you could try one of the Rec or Dis raising items, otherwise Speed Apple tends to do well, or raising ones Chocobo's stats.

just how bad ass are these races? i have a terrible, pathetic wretch of a digging chocobo but despite being black, jessie owens he is not. is there any chance of him winning the races or am i going to have to build a racing bird just to get this stupid torque? i HAVE to have it, so i guess i'll build a racer if that's what it takes, but it sounds like an awful sum of work when i need to make a new bird for digging for hot and cold games.

I have a digging bird and a racing bird. My racing bird is first class both physical stats, poor both mental (yeah, I know, that's not a good way to do it, but I raised him before racing was released so no one knew what was good). I beat the first race (against the sheep), but the second race kicked my ass (I came in third to last and then last, out of eight? mobs/birds in it). Since I had basically no chance of beating the second one, I gave up.

You'll need a kick ass racing bird to beat five races. :/

Used up all my chocobo bucks, 300ish, and I still couldn't win. The closest I got was 4th when using rainweather. The other birds kept using stuff on me even when I'm not in first so that F'ed me up a lot.

These races are definitely harder than the last batch of official races. I won the first 2 without much of a problem, barely won the third, and the fourth I had to do 3 times before winning. I think I got a little lucky with what abilities they decided to spam and when they decided to spam them in the race I finally won.

Though not really optimized for racing, my bird's stats are 8/8/4/2.

I'm sure the last race is going to be a pain in the ass. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

According to BGwiki, the full name of this item (added in the most recent patch) is "Chocobo Pullus Torque". It is wearable at level 1 and has Enchantment: Costume.

"Pullus" is defined to be a young bird or a chick.

I ducked out of racing before but I do want this torque! I can't train my FC STR END choco's DSC because even though my nation is in first the training tokens and the special saddles don't show up, I guess I'm missing some other requirement. Anyway, do any of you know if a Shadow Roll would be a worthwhile item to use or should I stick with Stamina Apple>Sprint?
