At least, not on our server, and it seems like not on most others.
It's not that people don't care about Campaign; people do. The problem is SE released ZNMs on the exact same time they decided to crank up the difficulty on Campaign. Result? Everyone's out doing ZNMs and not enough people are doing campaign.

Bastok in particular is just embarrassing to watch: I can see where the bottlenecks are and where you'd really want to put troops if you wanted to block the enemy, but whoever's in charge of NPC placement puts the bastards in the worst possible places. In addition, you'd at least want to make one squad sweep the area instead of sitting on their asses, but nope. It's up to the players to drag the turtles on top of the NPC armies because they're apparently too fucking stupid to look for the enemy themselves.

And fuck SE for giving Bastok's army a 20-minute response time to their capital city getting raped.

And fuck SE again for not giving cities a 30-60 minute breather between fights.

I guess that's why Cait Sith said every scenario was pointing to the defeat of the Allied Forces; they're too goddamn stupid to use any form of reasonable military tactics.

^ this... freaking galka MNK NPC is running around near the home point with the couple whilst Shadowhorn is owning the marketplace. Seen whole units at the bottom of the steps, try and kite mobs to them and someone pulls them off me... or I die within sight but too far away cos I'm unlucky or stupid and linked the whole lot.

I really don't understand NPC placement in city battles. In Bastok there are entire squads by the hanging cages and way down the end of the street near Englehart. You know what these two areas have in common? Beastman AI doesn't ever tell them to go there. They walk the short specific path from the zoneline to the tower, rendering two whole squads useless.

Actually the beastmen do go to these spots, the cages have a fortification for them to attack, and the door of the house across the stream from Harmodius's place is another fortification... It's just the NPCs at the end of this street aren't close enough to attack any beastmen that attacks the one house. I was pulling turtles from this house over to Invincible Shield's force of Galkas to get them off the house last night.

Then again, I pulled just Shadowhorn into about 10 Scorpion Warlocks (I think that's what they're called) idling in front of the mog house the other day, and he killed at least 4-5 of them before going down...maybe the NPCs aren't so dumb after all!

Sorry, dude. "Tough" ain't the same as "smart."

It's all well and good to put a bunch of teams to guard the fortifications, but as I said, one roving search party would make things a lot simpler: search party runs into the enemy, then summons up an idle team ala detectors in sky. Once the fight's over, idle team runs back to their previous position.

    Bismarck

As of this Sunday Bismarck is as follows

    Windy 4
    Bastok 1
    Sandy 1
    Beastmen 15

Windy seems to be attracting the dedicated while bastok and sandy apparently is staffed by songbots.

That's one of the great things about San d'Oria (and i suppose Windurst), the regular mobs have AoE attacks so you don't even need to suicide.

Although today 3 Shadoweye Gnats spawned right on top of the bots, not even close to their regular entry point.
