You are one tenacious dude. I've been playing since 2005 and never bothered taking a craft past 16 (WW), it always seemed like this huge, daunting cliff that'd never be worth climbing.

To all the high level Leathercrafters. Once you do get 100+3 what do you synth to make money? I was thinking about trying to HQ sniper's but i don't really know how well that would work out. I did some math and figured that if i go 1/10 on Snipers +1 which i believe is T1 then after all the loss of the NQ and the sell of the HQ i would make 600k overall. However this doesn't seem to be very lucrative. Any tips would be great. PM me if you like, i realize some of you might not want to share your secrets. But any help would be great. Thanks

Look at FFXIAH, do a little research, and know your odds. There are plenty of really really really shitty markets, some that will come and go, and many that will always be good. It will vary from server to server.

It is... cloth 93.4 (working on smithing sub again as I finally decided to go back to it). Started leather craft mule. Have access to a 79+1 smith which I'm considering finishing...

Started leather about 3 weeks ago because of this thread (thanks cdgreguh and Sanoske). I'm looking to hit level 90 tonight and wanted to know the best place to farm wyvern skins. I'm have farmed any and all skins/materials that were over 1500g, so I have the patience for it. Just curious about the best way of going about it. I want to avoid level cap zones for obvious reasons, so that leaves Ifrit's Cauldron, Gustav Tunnel, Kuftal Tunnel, Mamook, and Bhaflau Thickets. What's the best place/mobs/minimum support I need to farm wyvern skins as a Lv 75 THF?

I tried mamook and bhaflau thickets as blm + thf duo, but the pulling was such a hassle I said screw it. I didn't bother trying ifrit's cauldron since I heard they were surrounded by magic agro and while the THF was geared well I'm a career mage so he was only really used for TH while soloing on blm. I dont have anymore information on Gustav tunnel but I really didn't find 90-95 very painful at all, the only thing I do recommend is start buying up griffon hides and coeurl hides now and store them on a mule. I got ridiculously sick of tiger masks so I started doing griffon leather at 94 which really helped me blast through that long 94-95.

As for coeurl hides which you'll be at soon, rdm + thf mule eating yellow curry, a lazy rdm macro (dia, slow, para, blind, refresh, haste all in 1 lol) made for decent farming. I farmed out of the "SW" tunnel off Ose's room and camped the AH. Someone previously mentioned THF only farming was easy for him/her but it was a pain for me since the mule had no RAcc set, so blood bolts were missing like whoa and the para was kicking my ass. Lastly, I know it's AH price fixing or whatever, but if some idiot starts buying price jacked hides and the price stays there I'd reset the AH back to the reasonable price of 3k per hide instead of the 5-6k per it jumped up to.

edit: you may be best starting to farm the HQ coeurl hides now, and buying the wyvern hides, you make a nice profit off whiskers and meat!
