Musashi was a fun game, I never understood why people hate it. Compared to Kingdom Heart and other recent action rpg, it might be lacking a bit, but for its time, it had original gameplay and some decent ideas. I liked exploring the world and trying to grab every power up. Good mix between Kirby and Zelda >_>


I also agree with whoever said Megaman Legend 1 and 2. They are probably my favorite psx game after FF and Xeno. Playing old 3d game is painful now (ugly graphics), but the story, characters and boss fight were pretty good.

My favorite boss fight (start at 2min). Video doesnt make it good justice, but seeing a giant mecha destroy the whole city while you fight was awesome back then. Damage were permanant too

My favorite part was the voice acting, actually, they did a fucking fantastic job on it. All of the voices fit the animation and characters well, and it wasn't like all choppy and spazzy like other PS1 games.

@ terranova: Any pics or blurbs about the third game on PSP? I would honestly buy a PSP for that.

Donno if it was already posted but a couple great RPGs for the PS1 are Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete (hard to find) and the one before it, Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (they're named like that because they are remakes of the original Sega CD versions, then again remakes of the remakes for Sega Saturn, lol)

Yes! Get these games, they're amazing. You don't really have to play SSS before EB, seeing as EB takes place 1000 years later, but EB does have some flashbacks to the ending of SSS. (Careful not to get the remake of Silver Star Story for GBA, Lunar Legend, because it was pretty terrible. The translation made me cry a little inside.)

...I love Lunar! Though I was a bigger fan of the Sega CD originals. I moved the Ocarina off of Alex in the demo and when I went to save Luna found myself well fucked and far from home.

They managed to make decent character. I wouldnt say VA was great, but it was certainly better than almost everything on ps1.

i couldn't get a new game unless i beat the ones i currently had.

and legend of Dragoon was an amazing game. you really need to get around to beating it

Suikoden I & II
Tactics Ogre
Final Fantasy Tactics (I'd get the PSP version now though)
Breath of Fire III & IV
Front Mission 3
Xenogears
The various Final Fantasy core games, they're all worth at least a playthrough once.
