Memory Receptacles.... MELEE?!?!?

So yeah, did another attempt at soloing ENM pulling the plug... And THIS happened:

Never in the 30+ times I have done this ENM has a memory receptacle actually melee attacked me. I'm thinking it might have been because I accidentally used a Terroanima on it instead of the contemplator... I wasn't getting any melee issues until the light blue one died and i started fighting the red one. Needless to say, with it hitting over 100 a whack, both me and my automaton died in no time, and I got unlucky when it drew me in then finished me off in the center of the arena. As soon as I got back up, it meleed me again before I could even use a reraiser. What the hell gives SE? Now I'm broke yet again and this time due to a glitch?

dunno about that BC, but I climbed the promys either yesterday or the day before and they only used empty seed all the way up, don't know if this is helpful info or not

Maybe they glitch when under the terroanima. It's not like they can run away like normal empty can.

What did the GM say? or do I want to know?

Terroranima doesnt matter what you target you could be targeting yourself and it will still work.

I have seen receptacles melee me in the log without terroanima being used before, however it is very rare and probably a bug, and I've never seen it happen more than once at a time, let alone a bunch of times in a row like in the OP.

I don't know what the hell you're talking about, but terroanima only works on one target, which is the one you use it on. Mobs under the effect of terroanima can still melee you if you're in range, so this is what probably happened to the OP, since a receptacle obviously can't run out of range.

I don't know what the hell you're talking about but it doesnt matter where you target you can use the item regardless if your targetting or not. You can use it while yourself is the target go try it and don't assume.

That's because it will just use the item on the mob you're engaged to if you target yourself, which in this enm will be the receptacle you're fighting, which is exactly what you don't want to do with the terro and psychoanimas.

That really is weird as hell.

I solo climbed my crags for Apoc Nigh a while back as War/Dnc, once I cleared the strays I was able to easily beat the MR down + pound the fresh strays flat, since the only damage was Empty Seed + random hits when the new strays didn't miss.

Had someone tell me they got hit doing it, but I assumed they were mistaken and took a hit from a stray.
