Neon Underglow (Cars), Legal?

I used to have a set on a car a while back, I had a set of blue. I didn't have too much trouble with the police in GA, but if I went across the border to Florida they didn't like it. They didn't cause me much trouble, but you'll only get a fairly short lifespan out of them.

It's only a matter of time before either the weather or road conditions takes one of the tubes out. You look like a larger 'tard with one tube out than with all going. I replaced and switched to purple later, but eventually had the same problem with one of them going out on me.

If I had it to do over, I'd go with something more high end. If you really have to have something with neon do something indirect and subtle.

Far as I know those above things for Ontario are all true, except that I'm fairly sure underglow when parked and not red/blue is alright.

And agreed with the above, if I beat you in a race and my vehicle looks stock on the outside it just makes you look even more fail

In most of the northeast, they are legal only when parked off the road. They are not legal for use while moving or while on public roads (even stopped).

More importantly, even done "tastefully" they make you look like a douchenozzle.

Spend that money on drivetrain, suspension, or brake upgrades.

If your car's a beater, no amount of tacky decoration will make it look better.

If your car's in good shape, no amount of tacky decoration will make it look better.

However, the hundreds to thousands of dollars spent making retarded show cars tend to make a car go, turn, and stop quite a bit better than it used to if spent properly on useful modifications.

I think if done in a color scheme that matches the interior lighting, I for instance replaced every LED inside to match perfectly, it can be a nice feature. I will admit though in 99% of situations only douches have them.

But saying universally they're douchey is retarded, a nice car, done tastefully is a beautiful thing. A civic done with a 500$ kit and some glow sticks isn't.

I for one encourage Car Modding.

There's nothing sweeter than seeing some Boy Racer play Race Driver with his friends and take a corner only to strip half his body kit off because he forgot his car has the ground clearance of a wet sponge.

I didn't have a photobucket or anything like that a few years ago, I know there exist some pics of it at the very least from a a HIN show in boston from 2004, but damned if I knew where to find them archived. I know that probably sounds bullshit, but I don't even have any pictures of my wife and I together from the past year on anything digital lol, I'm just terrible at archiving.
