Wow that was pretty interesting.
Pretty cool, doesn't really solve any problems though.
Except maybe where to get plastics and fertilizers once oil reserves are no more.
Every little helps
this isn't just science...
it's SCIENCE!
note the distinct difference.
Not to be a jerk, but I don't get this statement- did you read the article?Pretty cool, doesn't really solve any problems though.
He probably means this bit;
I could be wrong though.However, to substitute America’s weekly oil consumption of 143 million barrels, you would need a facility that covered about 205 square miles, an area roughly the size of Chicago.
Eh, that's true... But its like saying the lightbulb made no difference when it was invented because to light up the country with it you'd need billions and billions of them made. I don't wanna come off the wrong way, but understand that of course it was developed / invented small-scale... if it works out and is really as effective as they say and is really carbon-negative... and cost effective... it'll expand!
Edit: To me that # seems small, actually... Over the entire country it seems it wouldn't be too hard to make up that much facility space. @ $50 a barrel, and regular oil @ about $130... even if they charged $100 a barrel thats $30/b profit, and at 143m barrels per week, $4.29b per week. Seems it'd pay for itself.
Goodbye Yellowstone National Park.
Hello massive bug shit farm?
Or Wyoming in general. Who needs a box state?
Isn't the US flat as a pancacke will acres of unused Desert?Originally Posted by Kiro

I'd say they could probably turn enough profit (while still lowering gas costs and increasing gas production) to encourage anyone <_<;;

I think the resistance would be less that the facility would be located in Wyoming, I think its more of the fact that it's a BUG SHIT FARM.Originally Posted by Kiro
