Sewer Syrup, drops Jelly Ring ... drops at least all the times I've killed it for people. But there were reports of it not being 100% ... but hey, 100% Slime Oil though.

Its a very high drop rate but not 100%.

Going to be POIDH, but I've had Aquarius -not- drop Fransisca once. I did not have a Fransisca, as I throw it away after every kill. This was shortly after D cloth was removed from Aquarius' pool, so it could have been a problem with that, as SE seems to make mistakes so easily.

Chary still isn't 100% drop, but that's ok. You can pretend if you want to. I've never owned a Joyeuse and have seen the empty pool, if you go through all of the old dorp pages there's 2 or 3 pics of this, not just the most recent.

I've always wondered if drops are determined at the time you claim or the time you kill... did everyone in the pt at the time it was claimed have a Joyeuse, then ppl who didn't have it joined pt later? The could be why a normally 100% drop wouldn't drop...

It's checked at time of death.

If you've seen a Charybdis loot pool without a Joyeuse, you probably joined just after it died (it's possible to join a party just as something dies, and see the drop list on your log, without it registering you as in the party when it decides the drops, if you join just in the nick of time).

I meant something supposedly 100% and ra/ex like this... and it is my husband who is the THF, I only play his character from time to time for farming. Something 100% wouldn't be "randomed" at the time of death like other items, thus unaffected by Treasure Hunter, and so possibly determined at time of claim instead of at time of death.

I guess I can test this on a mule later on some NM like the Pilgrim's Wand bird. I could pop and claim it myself, then invite the mule before death and see if it still drops.

I thought the whole "100% drop not dropping on rare occasions" thing is just a freak glitch when the mob dies off a DoT or some NIN 2hr'ing.

I like what this aspires to be, but at the moment it seems a bit lacking.

If you are going to include drops from NMs that are not the big name drops, you've got a lot of NMs. Like NMs that always drop a scroll of magic, but have multiple scroll choices, but one always drops (unless, of course, that isn't the case).

Ive also seen AQ drop no Francisca... definately a wtf type moment.
