No, I don't really have a problem with anyone else. Just idiots who think Wi-Fi IMPLIES laptop when it doesn't even mention laptop or any other device in that statement. This could be a huge thing for PSP too, considering PSP connects to the PS3 and SE has already stated their next MMO will only be Vista/PS3. If you would actually read what we're arguing about:

I said she/he was misusing the word Wi-Fi saying it only meant laptop, which it DOES NOT. Then I proceeded to list other things that can access wi-fi. I even said about 8 posts back they likely meant laptop, but Wi-Fi in itself does NOT mean laptop 100% of the time which is what I read from his/her posts.

This is obviously not for FFXI, they have already told us they dont have the time/could care less about updating the PC engine, which is a clusterfuck anyways.

Im not sure what survey you were looking at, but the questions I answered gave me no idea that this applied to whether they were going to re-code this old shit that would only affect a portion of the subscription base. Lets hope they wont screw up the next MMO by handicapping users who want to play on a PC again.

iPhone's, PDA's, all sorts of small electronic devices, even PSP. They could design some tool if they so see fit (beyond the Web based login) that allowed more interaction with POL based services.

Except for the fact they didn't ask WHAT devices you use, therefor one would automatically assume they're talking about laptops, and only asked if you use Wi-Fi spots. Therefor, they mean: Are you using a laptop at a Wi-Fi spot for a mobile internet connection? Which is entirely irrelevant unless they're looking to do some kind of partnership with the companies that host the wi-fi. Terrible ideas, and those wi-fi spots suck anyways so whatever.

My best guess is to guage their current community of FFXI players to determine which PC gamers have what overlapping consoles and why. I'd imagine they are also considering whether their next MMO will be multiplatform.
