    First, go to your Firefox settings by putting "about:config" into the location bar. Click past the warning message, and scroll down to browser.urlbar.RichResults. This sets how many recommendations the Awesome Bar will display -- it's 12 by default, but you want to change it to 0.
    Thanks anyway but it still doesn't goes back to the old ff2 way. Googled for it and everyone seemed to be complaining about this awesome toolbar too.
    The best method would be to uninstall ff3 and reinstall ff2 like i did

    Oh, that. Well that's not too bad. It's pretty handy in most cases for me, and as my favorites are organized in another way, it's no big deal.

    Ah well. Thanks though.

    OT, but the newest version of Office really does blow goats. It was like a puzzle just trying to find the damn print button.

    oh, and just FYI Firefox 3 is supposed to use less memory, handle java script better, among a lot of other improvements, so it's not just a cosmetic thing with a couple changes.

    Currently using 129k of memory, not much better than old firefox, in fact it's worse! :D

    I've been using the RC for a couple weeks now, it's much speedier than FF2, but when I installed it I lost all my fucking bookmarks. -_-;

    Re: Firefox 3.0 RC

    I didnt wanna create a new topic and i hope this doesn't derail this one, but im new to firefox, and im using it at work at the moment. For work, i am required to use a site for invoicing with one of our clients, but the site comes out a little funky on Firefox. Was wondering if there was anyone who can help me correct this issue. Below are two pics, one of how the site looks with firefox and one how it looks with IE (how the site is suppose to look).

    The link to the site is: https://vendor.fafs.com/pages/login.aspx just in case its needed.

    Unfortunately, you're fucked, because they're using IE-specific (read: nonstandard bullshit) stuff on that page. I'd tell you to "get a new service provider", but I know that doesn't exactly fly in the real world.

    Enjoy using shitty internet explorer.

    Don't forget about IEtab.

    It allows you to open pages using IE in FF's delicious shell.

    The point is, it will free up that memory when you close tabs, unlike FF2.

    I'm loading amazon just fine. I even added the add-on to allow me to search Amazon without being on Amazon.
