computer wont come out of sleep mode...

searched a lot of places and havent found anything yet but...

im running a HP pavillion intel core2 CPU [email protected] 2GB ram stupid ass computer
i bought it in dec of 06
i put in a soundcard and a video card all of which have been working properly and so far i have had almost no problems with the computer. im pretty much the only one who uses it and i havent changed anything on it.

basically now my computer monitor will go black and act as if it is sleep mode. it just randomly does it and will not come out of sleep mode no matter what i do besides a manual reboot. my settings on bios and appearance are always set to on and other options to never. i usually leave my pc on all day and all night. i reboot sometimes or its off but generally its ffxi online the whole time.

i have done a few recommendations like...restore to an earlier point. used chkdsk, and even took apart my cpu fan and other components and vacuumed out all visable dust. still nothing, it seems to do it when i play ffxi more than anything, there is no sound and no other things going on in the background. the computer light stays on but it just no response from anything else.

Have you checked your power saving settings?

everythings on like high/stanby etc never/always on

Personally, I'd run quicktech or ultimatebootcd, check my hardware, and if nothing shows as faulty, reinstall windows.
