NIN's Sange

Bump...

I just got Sange to blow through my stack of fuma shurikens.
I tossed on 30 ranged acc and 20 ranged atk, the rest of my gear was just
my jin gear. Only tested it a few times yet, but on colibri outside of town, I am
doing 820 on the low end and 990 on the high end of damage.

Just in case anyone wanted to know.

i'd say my 22 merits for something useful. except i'd do that before lolNTE too.

I personally think SE should have made this ability not consume shurikens, since they won't do anything about the fact that shurikens are too expensive to be practical. I'd actually put 5/5 into this if they did that. Or they could just fix the fact that shurikens are too expensive to be practical.

QFT. Someone should mention it on the next interview if we ever get another one. Granted, I don't have NIN, but I always heard that Shuriken NINs do sick damage. Hell, it might even fix the job.

If they could do that and also add some throwing weaponskills, it would make NIN a hell of a lot more fun.

Subtle Blow is the only other one worth the time. and only if you're planning on soloing.

i put one merit into each of the san spells for kicks. spinning the san wheel makes people go "wtf!?"
and the other 4 in Ninja Tool Expertise of course.

unless you're talking about lower levels, you heard wrong. katanas do more damage than shurikens over time. mostly because of haste, which obviously doesn't work for /ra, but other things like katanas getting tp at least 2-4 times faster than shurikens really help push the favor towards katanas. on the other hand, at lower levels (mainly 18-40) they destroy katanas.

I would be fine without the throwing WSs if they just added usable shurikens. Make it sort of the opposite of a KC RNG - spam fast ranged attacks, run in to WS.

Yep.

One stack of Manji shurikens costs about the same as a stack of Demon quivers.

The best part is even if all shurikens stacked to 99 and the NQ of the synth made a whole stack, they'd be infeasibly expensive - still 15-30k per stack.

It'd be one thing if you used copper/brass/iron ingots to make them, but it's utterly bonkers that you have to use darksteel or gold. I bet if they added a new one, it'd be even nuttier and use shit like adaman or imp. wootz ingots, just to rub in the point that shurikens might as well not exist.

I wish Kogas dropped by the stack instead of by the single and were AHable, they'd be nightmarishly costly even so, but aquirable in enough quantity to use for Sange.
