    Area warp NPCs -- Fuck you

    Seriously, with almost every server having some (or all) cities being attacked right now, it is absolutely ridiculous to have these NPCs depop during campaign.

    It's really getting on my nerves, to have sandworm or ixion or something spawn where you need to get there fast, and you can't warp for like 30+ minutes because of fucking campaign.

    I was hoping and praying that they would do something about it in this update, but neigh, nothing at all.

    I remember months ago people saying how awesome city campaigns were going to be, and I told them that city campaigns would most likely be terrible because of depopping NPCs. And everyone ignored Septimus, because he is this generation's Cassandra. How par for the course.

    Ya you don't really have that much time to react once campaign is over. The average time between the for me yesterday was something like 3-5 minutes. There was one that started 5 seconds right after the last one.

    I think it might be because no one expected to do anything besides campaign; no point in going from an active campaign...TO an active campaign. The only other thing was Ops, and it's not like someone doing Ops wouldn't do a battle until the NPCs repoped, especially one so close to a MH. Quests, missions, etc., it could all wait. With HNMs now, it's actually a problem.

    They might fix it and just let the port NPC always pop, but as Priran said, Recalls have a point now. SE wouldn't miss a chance to legitimize underused content. Personally, I'd prefer they unlock fucking Chocobos, since the past is probably one of the only places where you might actually ride somewhere for more than 3 minutes. Incidentally, $5 says the choco licence doesn't apply in the past and we'll have to jump through more hoops.

    in Bastok a few of the npc's do stay up now during battle.

    Adjutant
    Roaring Badger
    Quartermaster

    the Suspicious Objects also stay active.

    i've also found that if you are in dbox when a battle starts it will not disappear until you cancel out.

    usless, but still odd, the ground doesn't make noise when you run/walk on it unlike the field zones.

    Suspicious Objects remained during battle even before yesterday's update; I finished a Streetsweeper III up to getting the exp while a battle was going on, but couldn't get the AN because the counter was closed.

    Not only does the OP NPC piss me off, but so does the disappearing Sigil NPC. That's still useful to the ongoing battle.

    Or you could Dem/Mea/Holla in Current times > Maw > Run to where Sandworm/Ixion is.

    There are so many adjacent connecting zones that you're better off getting recalls, or teleports to there and then entering the maws / walking.

    Every melee can /nin for sneak invis now, every mage can sub a mage that gets sneak/invis now.

    We had a campaign that lasted the entire day Sunday on Sylph, so I'm definitely agreeing with you on the frustration of having all the NPCs disappear.

    I really don't get why the Sigil NPC and teleporter clear out.....when Adjutant, Quartermaster, <Deep Cover> NPC, and Suspicious Objects remain.

    I was hoping SE would be nice enough to not depop this npc when they don't depop many other. Something tell me they might change it in the future if people bitch about it. Until then, i will spam their "suggestion box"...if I can find it on their website.

    As someone with access to the recalls etc I'm not so worried about the transport NPC. Also I find defending my home town a worthy vocation... honest. However the Sigil guy depopping irritates the crap out of me. The rest I can work around.

    No matter how amazingly well you "defend" your home city, the attacks won't stop until you win Gusta/Saruta/Ronfaure.

    This aspect of the battle system seems poorly thought out.

    Its very frustrating, Sandy was in campaign for hours today and it basically kills the functionality of the city. No Sigil NPC, no teleporter, over 10 people facing wall and giving a concert... The idea is good but it needs a serious adjustment.

    On midgard its quite out of control, Sandoria 1, Bastok 1, Windurst 2, Beastmen 17.

    It doesn't bother me, but I see this being a serious problem when more missions come out. Quest NPCs depopping and stuff.

    They've stopped the De-popping of most of the quest NPCs in other zones eventually, they'll fix this too once enough people complain.

    It's been a month since the update and they haven't yet. The point is that they want to seriously inconvenience people while the beastmen go on their sodomy rampage. This is punishment for people getting XP and merits and otherwise having a good time with campaign before this patch. (Mind you the chances of them actually fixing it so that bard bots won't get XP is incredibly low, because heaven forbid that Square punish botters and other rule breakers, they only like to punish honest people.)
