    Best AP / tag

I found a thread about a year old and rather than necro bumping I wanted to ask. Is the following still the best ap/tag?

Here are some Assaults that are easy to farm and take very little time. I have arranged them by rank, and highlighted the ones I actually like to farm in bold. Note: Leader gives 10% additional points, completing a mission for the first time gives a 50% bonus, and there is a 10% reduction in points for every member that you bring above 3 members.

As you can see, at any rank there is at least 1 Assault that people can do regardless of jobs and get 4400+ points from 4 tags in less than an hour (in most cases, around 30 minutes).

    Private First Class
    Assault: Lamia No. 13
    Zone: Ilrusi Atoll
    Points: 1200
Minimum Participants: 3 (at least 2 need to have dispel in main job or sub job ... BRD sub was reliable for me)
    Time Required: around 20 minutes
Task: Lamia No.13 wanders around with 3 fomor-type minions. If you cast Dispel on them, it will dispel their "charm" and they'll turn in to NPC-types and attack the Lamia. She will occasionally use the charm ability as a TP move, and it is AoE on whichever group (you, or the fomors) has hate, so you must re-dispel them as this happens and make sure that your other pt members are out of range if it is going to be a pt member getting charmed. You basically just keep the NPCs alive until they kill the Lamia. Doing anything to the Lamia directly will get you hate and it will be very difficult to shed it without getting charmed, but curing the NPCs will not get you hate.

    Lance Corporal
    Assault: Breaking Morale
    Zone: Mamool Ja Training Grounds
Points: 1333 (for all the chests)
    Minimum Participants: 3 (any jobs)
    Time Required: about 10 minutes
Task: There are 8 chests on the map. You must open the chests and return the items to the NPC without getting caught. Trainers catch you and send you back to start, while Recruits just aggro (you can shed aggro by getting caught by a trainer). You can get a costume which does 22 damage/tic while it is on by using the Viscous Liquid on the map. Being in costume will prevent aggro. Reward is variable based on how much treasure you get. Chest locations are on the Wiki link.

    Corporal
    Assault: Counting Sheep
    Zone: Leujaoam Sanctum
    Points: 1166 (for 5 sheep)
    Minimum Participants: 3
    Time Required: about 10 minutes
Task: I don't remember much about this one, but I'm told it is quick and easy for Leujaoam points. Best bet is just to read the Wiki link.

    Assault: Siegemaster Assasination
    Zone: Lebros Cavern
    Points: 1100
Minimum Participants: 3 (tank, DD, and healer work best)
    Time Required: about 10 minutes
Task: There are 8 trolls. One of them is the guy in disguise, but you won't know which it is until you kill it and it tells you that you won the Assault. The trolls will repop, but the guy you want will never be a repopped troll, so keep track and only kill the oriignal ones.

    Assault: The Double Agent
    Zone: Mamool Ja Training Grounds
Points: 1200 if you capture the right Qiqirn the first time
Minimum Participants: 3 (being able to solo easy Puks is a bonus, but just being able to stay alive until someone else can help works too)
    Time Required: 5-10 minutes
Task: You must question the Qiqirn. Some of the answers will be worthless, but others will tell you what direction the spy is in. Sometimes it is something like "close", "really close", or "really really close", while others will give you a direction, and others will give you an exact distance (in the same units the windower distance thingy uses). The spy will also lie, so if you have 1 Qiqirn that gives a direction that is completely different from everyone else, it might be a spy. Capture the right Qiqirn, and you win. More info at the Wiki link.

    Assault: Building Bridges
    Zone: Periqia
    Points: 1200
Minimum Participants: 3 (any jobs, completely naked is fine)
    Time Required: 5-10 minutes
Task: You must touch a Bridge Switch in the North, South, East, and West corners of the map. Also note that the Rune of Release is in the very center of the map. There are NPC Lamia wandering around. If one sees you, it sends you back to start. You just have to dodge the NPC Lamias on the way to the switches and the Rune.
I do know that Leujaoam Sanctum has Red Versus Blue, but other than that is the above still fairly accurate?

    Re: Best AP / tag

Between Corporal and Second Lieutenant (RvB), there's Defuse the Threat (SM rank) which is not difficult, and good points once you get the hang of it. Some people I know also farmed Apkallu Breeding (S rank) which I didn't really care for the few times I did it when it was first released, but should be pretty easy if you memorize which combos pair up (or if you just happen to be able to read Morse Code).

    Re: Best AP / tag

Above list looks pretty accurate I think, other than Red vs Blue which you mentioned.

Golden Salvage and Shooting down the Baron are options at 3 people as well I think (1100 points).

I find double agent to be best because its decent points and its very easy and very fast. If you do salvage casually and have more time for assaults I'm sure theres better AP/tag options. But our linkshell does salvage alot and usually, you get the "Can anyone help me get points" 5 minutes before Salvage event, so seems to work out best for us.

Chief Sergeant Leujoam Sanctum - Imperial Code, 1333 w/ 3 people always, 1466 w/ band.

I usually do this on MNK and 1 DD+healer or healer + brd.

Can be done in 10-15 mins once u get it down, Omicron ring is a nice incentive although it never drops

    Re: Best AP / tag

Double Agent is my favorite for quick, easy AP. It can be done with any 3 jobs so you don't need to worry about having the right people there or waiting for someone to gear up, and we usually finish it in 5-7 minutes, meaning we can get ~4800 AP in less than 45 minutes if we all have 4 tags. This is plenty of AP for us since we only run Salvage twice a week at most.

Red vs. Blue is better for AP/tag (1500/person) and is also a very fast run, but it requires a more specific job setup and all members to be SL rank (I think), and can be a bit trickier to win if the BLU NM casts any bad spells or the kiting goes badly. Groups that do Salvage 4 times a week or more will probably want to stick with this one.

Red vs Blue with 3 is the best. 1666 each win 1832 with tag.

    Re: Best AP / tag

Its been said already but it needs to be said once again for emphasism... if you wanna do Salvage regularly get FL rank ASAP and live off RvsB, not only is it the most points you can get in any assualt per 3 peeps, but its also ironically one of the easiest, if not the easiest imo...and if you do it with 2 SAMs (my preferred way) you'll start to think they will nerf it soon enough.

<3 RvB. I've done it with 2 Sam, Sam + Drk, Drk + Rdm, 2 Blm, Blu + Rdm, and probably others I don't remember.

RvB isn't so specific jobwise. Just need a kiter and two top DDs who can kill quick. I have solo'd Raub a couple times on SAM. Med>Run> One dude pops, one dude aggros, I grab Raub. Sekka>WS>Med>WS> lala WS dead. Can get 8k+ w/ 5 tags in like 30m total. Can always Hobaku if he uses a really bad Spell but he is usually dead long before he even tries to cast a second spell.

    A couple things to add:

    Double Agent
You don't need to kill the Puks, just sleep any that aggro and talk to a QQ. The Puk will lose aggro.

    Red vs Blue
Any job can kite the BLUs (without movement speed+). Just (sound?) aggro them and start running. No need to cast or anything, just don't run into any dead ends.

    Re: Best AP / tag

Yeah, Imperial Code is pretty good before RvB, only things to watch there are ghosts to avoid and first NM which will Mijin at certain point. damn this omicron ring never dropping in like 50 runs

And never knew before, but RvB can be done even with 2 BLMs (+ anyone who talks with start NPC), good Freeze II takes more than half of Raubahn life and he can be slept if isn't dead somehow.

    Re: Best AP / tag

RvB definately the best, with 3 or 6 even. The person with the armband gets 1850 points lol , hehe. its still good pts with 4-6 members ( 1333 pt with 6).

before RvB we were spammin mamoolja coffer with 3, we could get at least 7 of the 8 chests most of the time, for 1333 pt.

those are I think the best for points/tag/time to do the assault. After 2 years of TaU you kinda want to not spend a lot of time on farming points..

Apkallu seizure gives 1333 points if you bring back all 5 birds. I've brought back 4 in 20 minutes by myself the other day, so a decent group could beat it in 10minutes easily.

Don't even need 2 DDs for RvB. Just get a BLM who isn't naked or braindead and Raubahn goes down in gravity -> 3 nukes. Then one person of any job to kite and one person of any job to stay at the beginning and either aoe-> kite or cure the npcs so you get 1666 every time.

    Re: Best AP / tag

RvB is far to inconsistent to be worthwhile to most people I know. Random sleeps from Raub, other randomness, the NPC player boss dying in like three seconds. All have ruined enough run for me to not use it for points anymore.

Now we just spam Bloody Rondo, super easy, only need holy waters, can be done in under 10 minutes, and a party of six can get 1500 points. So much more efficient.

    Wut? <_>

You are seriously doing something wrong. RvB isnt as hard as you make it sound, even when crap happen.

I have done it with four twice, where the blue's killed our boss NPC in less than 5 seconds. I have also had at least two time where Raub used Yawn as the opening move. RvB is just not 100%. Bloody Rondo is 100% and it's 100% for 6 people to get 1500 instead of 3-4 people maybe getting the same or sometimes getting nothing or at least less than 1500. In terms of best AP/tag efficiency Bloody Rondo is more efficient than RvB. I am not say that RvB is hard, because I used to spam it for points too, I am saying it is inconsistent.
