    Weak dollar, all oil is sold in dollars. 4 Months before USA invaded Iraq, Saddam Hussein said he was considering selling Iraqi oil in Euros instead. It's a "tabu" in europe to even mention it, US embassies goes on red alert if its even mentioned.

    Cuz USA buys oil from money they themself print, and then that money is placed in US funds.
