hey, maybe now that the STF has pretty much cleaned the game out, they can unfuck archer's ringsAnother reason is that our special task force team that's been in the game getting rid of a lot of the problems, like hacking and using cheats, they've pretty much got the game cleaned out. And now that the game is cleaned up, we have not only more time, but we're now able to go in and add some of the things that could have been a problem before; things that might have been exploited by some of the users that were targets of the STF teams.
It never is or will be specified. It's like a blur of events.Originally Posted by Vail
Er, what? The game's BOX says CE, 862 (or at least mine does), and I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple of articles with Crystal War chronologies. Plus if you've actually played WotG, the events are easy to identify and date, comparing with pre-WotG documentation. IIRC WotG is supposed to start between the 9th and 10th month of 862.Originally Posted by BRP

With no gear on your MP is gonna drop pret-ty fast, so funny to watch people who don't have a job leveled tell what a certain job is. Also, with no ACC boost or -BP boosts you're gonna suck. No MP gear either? You'll have 800ish MP as hume, add that to no perp cost gear and you're gonna suck so much it's not pretty.Originally Posted by Ohemgee

for storyline purposes, yes, but the world we roam/fight in is pretty much beyond the current time line of events.Originally Posted by Nashreen

^should be common knowledge by now, but just in case some one is not caught up.
And while they're at it, remove that goddamned chocobo digging nerf.Originally Posted by Priran

You don't really have to play though a story though, it could be like a high battle you have to take part in. Or you arrive when the army comes and you talk to the prince or who ever is in charge. Dont really have to change the history, just get more incite on it.

Few minor corrections: insight, not incite, but that's beside the point.
Meeting the Marquisate of Tavnazia would be amazingly interesting, especially since he's supposed to be Rochefogne's and Leaute's sister. (Or Leaute's Uncle? can't recall). Also, the RoTZ booklet says he's been hiding out in Norg since the war. Which of course, would immediately make you think Gilgamesh, but I suspect it might be Gilgamesh's little advisor guy.
[spoiler:is4rioxa]Also, I'm fairly certain the Lightbringer wasn't used to intentionally break off the peninsula. Rochefogne unsheathed it fight against the Beastmen chasing him... and well- you got the part about severing Tavnazia from the mainland right! I'm nearly 90% certain the other nations, including Tavnazia, did not know that Tavnazia was being used as a diversion. Almost certain that San d'Oria purposely had messages intercepted on their own accord.[/spoiler:is4rioxa]
Oh the joy!As for any announcements on the next MMO, I can't say anything.

wondered when someone was going to say something like that
[spoiler:76w8i7wx]As far as everyone in the world, including rochefogne at the time knows, it was a malfunctioning beastman weapon. I suppose the zilart princes are probably aware.
And it wasn't "used to break off the peninsula," he drew it thinking he could use it to save his overrun homeland from the orcs, but uh... he was wrong lol.[/spoiler:76w8i7wx]
Anyway it wouldn't make much sense at all to get involved, I guess Cait Sith could send us, but I dunno, I can't see them getting tav very involved at all without requiring like rank 10 in all 3 and far enough in CoP to at least know it still exists.
The main thing is that there's just not much more insight into it to give. We know how the people got there from CoP, and we know what happened from Sandy missions. It would be delving way too deep into directly ripping off WoW to have us going into random major battles and making sure the good guys "lose properly."
So a male nation is someone's sister (or uncle) and can fit in a pirate town? Interesting.Originally Posted by Rocl

Shut up >.> I'm quite certain that the RoTZ Manual-deal said the Marquis was believed to be hiding in Norg. After this Besieged I'll dig around to see if I can still find mine.
Is anyone really looking forward to their next mmo? SE couldn't pay me to play another mmo from them after their piss poor performace with customer service and very slow at fixing game problems with FFXI.As for any announcements on the next MMO, I can't say anything.
My statement stands. You can half ass SMN without little to no regard for any gear. You'll be less efficient MP wise, but if you're a naked smn, there's probably a reason why (Rush to tiamat, khim, cerb)Originally Posted by Gunitsoldier

And amuse me by saying a fully geared SMN totally eclipses a nude SMN.
afaik:
1. Summon Garuda
2. Attack
3. Predator Claws for [khim] 700-1200
4. Release
Fuck I might need some gear for that.
Future note: Fuck SMN solo. Merit parties are better.

Rather then address many of the low level issues, i think they should, like some have been, bring up the way jobs are played at 75. like how pld's tank NM /nin now. and make suggestions on how to try and balance that or if there are any plans too
That would be a case of using the stories history to its potential. Instead they clearly think it's cooler to allow us to experience the history of the brave warriors who auto attacked fort Pashow walls for 40 minutes at a time.Originally Posted by Ace-o-fire
