Has any sort of inventory list go beyond 80? Pretty sure that's some PS2 limitations right there.

It should be possible for at minimum 110 items, since you are given 40 temp items when you enter the hostel even if you're already at max inventory, and there's no issue at all holding all of them. I'd say it's a 95% chance they've just been bullshitting about "PS2 limitations" being the cause the whole time, but we already knew that much.

When I was at the fanfest event thing in Rochester NY a few years back, the Galka BSTs they had managing the ingame tarutaru footrace were all x/80 in inventory. They did not show this off, but when they went to switch armor a few times (After killing Padfoot and getting the drop), you could see it in the screen, clear as day. I even had two friends who were there with me comment about it as well, because we assumed they were going to raise the limit to 80 soon...

The possibility to raise the inventory limit to 80 must exist, but whether they do that for players or not is another story...

At FFXI Fan Fest 07, the 'Try out SCH and DNC' charactors all had 80 inventory.

Not like this is important, but this event started.

Talk to the moogle, it tells you to basically 1. Slap the Prince, 2. Nod to the Princess, and 3. Wave to the ladies. Just walk around until you see the 2 NPCs strolling through town and follow them. Follow the advice the moogle gave you and eventually the "play" will come to an end. Talk to one of them (I'd assume either, I talked to the Princess) and you'll get a bamboo. I have all 3 in NPC storage, so the Princess gave me blue bamboo when I was in Bastok.

there's most likely a limit on the max number of items per section.

the 40 temp items from the hostel fall under a different section, if you check your item screen you'll notice in the temp item section its #/whatever temp items, which is seperate from your normal items

the mog safe has never risen above 80 slots yet, nor has the mog locker, so its safe to assume their ps2 limitation bullshitting # = 80, not 110.

But the point I was making was that those items are in the same LIST, which is the only thing they could be claiming as a limitation- hence why I call it bullshit.

the female will doubt her looks /no to reassure her that shes pretty
when she thinks to herself "(bla bla bla)" /nod to her
when the go back to starting point speak to them for the reward

I only know of the 2 Yukatas (-1 inv, and HQ) they each dispense a different firework
and the bamoo furnishings that the server won last year for the haiku's

The Bamboo stalks? Attached pic of the Blue Bamboo (Bastok), Sandy one glows red and Windurst one glows green respectively. Wiki has pics as well and many of the mog houses in the Mog house madness thread in Media section have them. 2 storage slots on each.

Oh and also, the hookers that yoo-hoo at the prince "aggro" him by line of sight but turn to face whoever /waves at them. If you turn them away from prince you can speed up the slow arse quest significantly. Of course there's idiots in every city who wave them right at the prince though.

I thought it was the Summerfast/new swimsuit quest for a while and then realised, no fucking irritating horrible shitty Summerfest Music at night. Sooo, 2 storage on these bamboos and I got them yukutas anyway ... skipping event, not worth the time and my mog house has conquest enhancement anyway! Yay.

It's too early for the actual Summerfest, that doesn't usually happen till early August or thereabouts. Plenty of time for the music, fireworks and dancing tarus still to come. Seems to me a bit like they chucked this Celestial Nights thing in as a filler, only fail servers that didn't get bamboo stalks the first time around are actually getting anything new out of this. It's not bad though, takes 5-10mins to complete and the bamboos add sparkles and bling to my mog house.

Oh and best thing about getting an event item a year late? I can store the spare ones at event item storage NPC without having to wait for the next patch.

The Bamboo Items are marked as EX, but not Rare. I obtained a 2nd one (of the same type) by storing one and doing the event again. Haven't tried to get a 3rd, so don't know if storing the bamboo is needed to get another one.

In any case, pretty sure you should at least be able to get 6 total bamboos (2x of 3 colors) this way -- suppose it might be useful if you wanted some free Dark element energy.

I tired doing this but it's not work out for me. I assume by "storing" you mean putting the Bamboo you had in storage, and i tired to do this by the game wont let me put it into storage (safe and locker only). putting the bamboo into the mog safe doesn't allow me to get a 2nd either.
