Wireless Connecting my PS3 using a linksys router

So I am trying to connect my PS3 to the PS network so i can play some FFXI, MGSO, etc. When i try and connect to the wireless connection, it keeps asking me for a password. Unfortunately I don't remember what the password is. I know how to connect to the linksys using my web browers and i can see what the password is but it is encrypted ( ******** ). Can i just change the password to what I want since my internet provider, Comcast, doesn't have a password?

Your ISP has nothing to do with the passkey on your wireless. You can set it to whatever you want.

Is there anyway I can figure out what the original passkey is for the router or do I just have to make a new one?

Some routers will show what the passkey is if you log onto the router and look under the wireless security settings.
