This guy invited me to merit recently, I'm not one to turn away invites much so I took it. After a few fights I noticed (eyeballed) that the ninja was raping this sam in damage. So I go to check him and you can see what I found..

I talked to the guy in tell, didn't wanna call him out in the party chat or anything, but he took such offense to the advice I tried to give. I'm sure this has happened to other people too. I'm just curious would I be an jerk if I left the party on account of his reaction to my advice?

His gear was:
Michishiba-no-tsuyu, staff grip, fenrirs stone,
Optical hat, PCC, Velocity Earring, Suppa,
Haubergeon, Sam AF hands, sattva ring, Garrulous Ring,
Amemet+1, swift belt, AF pants, AF boots.

That was pretty much full timed aside from a swap in warwolf belt on ws.
I guess money can be an issue but its not that hard to farm >_>..
