FFXI Crashing when entering a certain macro line

Ok so while I was playing XI today my computer crashed. After restarting the computer I ran into the PoL update. Everything was still fine from there... After I got online and tried to switch to my 8th line in the first macro book though the game kept crashing regardless of me using the windower or not. Anyone have any idea what's causing this problem? I did run a file check on XI and it found no problem with the game. Thanks in advance for any help!

P.S I also have this old program "Macro Editor" around. And it could read all my macros normally but the 8th line seems to be empty now. No idea what's causing this to occur.

Go to C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER\ and select the user account youre having problems on.

Find the files with the word mcr in it, should be 12, and copy them to another folder so you dont lose them, and then delete them out of the USER folder. That will delete your macros, if that works something was screwy with it, if its just line 8, then you can prob delete mcr8.dat and everything else should still be intact.

Just solved the problem by deleting Mcr7 from the user file which was odd. I deleted 8 and line 9 disappeared but 8 still crashed me. But yeah your suggestion is correct, thank you!

0 = line1 so 7 = 8

Same thing happened to me. I tried what you suggested, but it didn't work...

edit: O..K... So I AFKed for a couple hours idle in Port Jeuno and came back to log off. I decided to try my macros one last time before I started reinstalling FF before going to bed and...I stopped crashing... I missed my Limbus duo!
