LCD monitor damage

My first monitor became damaged after I had been eating hot food in front of it for 1-2 weeks. Now my second monitor has a quarter-inch crack randomly on it, even though I have done nothing to this one at all. No place I can find sells covers for 19" wide screen monitors, is there anything else I can use as a cover for it?

Maybe don't eat steamy hot food under it?

If it's within the warranty, try to get an RMA for it, it sounds like the monitor is the problem honesty, not your food, which I've never heard of causing a problem like that.

i always eat hot food near both my monitor and my tv and i've never had a problem (sharp 32" and westinghouse 22") <_>

Is that Westinghouse the 22W2 or 22W3?
