I lol'd because I feel the same way. Don't feel bad, it's not racist if its true. I mean, I'm black and don't go to black theaters because if this fact. I go to the ritzy white part of town for my movies, no talking, no cell phones and no gun fights after a Pixar movie.

Thanks for all of the replies guys, I for one read the posts before wasting money on a shitty movie. I plan on taking my daughter to see it this week when I have some time off. I've heard the sad thing in recent days and I cant talk shit about the crying though ; ; I cried in front of my friends once while watching "Unico the last Unicorn" lol.

Also, the part at the end as I saw it was supposed to show that Wall-E's computer was reset and he continued with his directive... but when she grabbed his hand and touched his head, it reconnected his memory banks to the main system. It worked kind of like short-term amnesia.[/spoiler:23ng9h2n]
[spoiler:23ng9h2n]Iono, they seemed like pretty brutal sandstorms.

And yea I concluded it to be that he needed time to reboot/access memory, but still the kiss/charge woulda made more sense to me and been more fairy-tail'ish. Cuz otherwise he coulda remembered her even without her touching him.[/spoiler:23ng9h2n]

I'm black myself and i rather go to the city (Manhattan) to watch a movie other than going somewhere in Brooklyn lol, way safer.

Exactly lol. I mean some stereotypes are just true. I think the last time I went to a "hood theater" was when I took my little brother to see one of the new Starwars movies I knew I should have left when the prompt to turn off your cell phones got the following reaction out of said ignorant fuck: "Nah fuck dat shit my nigga, I aint turning off shit. I can talk n watch tv at da same time LOLOLOL! Fo' Real my nigga, dey cant hol' me down..." while on his cell phone.

He finally got off of it 10 mins into the movie. The kicker is when I walked into the hall way to get an usher, I turn the corner and realize this nigga was on his phone and looked heated from unknown drama resonating on the other end of the phone. I said fuck it and left about 30 mins into the movie. Needless to say we have been going to the ritzy part of town ever since.

On topic: Taking my daughter to see Wall E tonight finally. Short week and a short day at work today, Awesome.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Saw this just now omg so good! ;; I agree with the 10/10 votes. Really been a long time where I've laughed/cried at a movie without nitpicking about anything in it. Would be nice to see this up for Best Picture pf the Year. I don't think they've ever gotten that (just best animated <-I might be totally wrong about this). Beauty and the Beast won the year it came out. Now it's time for Pixar to really get the recognition for all the hard work they do with every film they've done.

So I saw Wall·E last night with my girlfriend and, while I did enjoy myself, I left the theatre feeling rather morose at the fate of humanity in general. Chock it up to being one of those people who just can't shut their brains off in a movie (don't even get me started about historical movies, especially war/military themed ones; a History degree doesn't make them any more fun lol), but the social commentary about the horrific state of humanity in the future just nagged at me unceasingly. What really disgusts me is that this movie will sell just shittonnes of copies, and lots of merchandise, at Wall-Mart, CostCo, and every other big box chain that Buy-in-Large is satirising.

Nevertheless, this was by far Pixar's best film to date and a great show of storytelling prowess through such simple means.
