If you linked your FFXIAH profile to your FFXI LS Community Profile, then it doesn't matter what your FFXI status is.

I didn't link anything, I never registered on FFXIAH.

Mine suddenly shows that I'm in a linkshell I haven't been in for a year. >.> And I've gone through a server transfer to Sylph and back to Valefor since then, as well. I never confirmed/linked my account to the game by that whole "buy a crystal from the AH" thing, because I thought it was creepy. How can I make it not say that I'm in that linkshell?

EDIT: I just noticed it lists all the info for a friend of mine as well, who I know for a fact never registered on FFXI and didn't link their LS community profile or anything - and she quit the game like a year and a half ago.

It can draw information for the linkshell community, you don't have to link it. That is how my dynamis LS confirms job levels for lotting.

When looking at my profile in FFXIAH it doesn't show anything besides name, server and last 25 transactions. I've never registered as Khrno in there, only with my mule to post some crafting comments on a few items, but that's it.

Very strange that without being registered all your details would appear there, while it doesn't happen for other people.

It shows me as a member of an LS I haven't been in for over a year too.

It recently got more sophisticated. Before, you had to link your LS manually. Now it does it automatically via the community website. Therefore, if your community website isn't updated, FFXIAH won't be either.

It doesn't show anything other than past transactions for my characters, but I've never registered for ls community, whatever the hell that is.

Pretty sure it'll only add your info if somebody else in your LS has put their's in.

Nah, doesn't really bother me.

Besides, anything mentioned on BG ends up as a most viewed item. And anyone is top viewed on their server.

You can choose to hide the information either on the LS community side, or in the FFXIAH member side.

The only interesting issue is that they pulled the LS community info for everyone, meaning old/defunct Linkshells are now listed on active users, as well as any info it found from them.

This is the old opt-in/opt-out by default issue. You need to opt-out of showing it, which requires making a member account on FFXIAH, I believe.

I personally think it's neat.
