Maat's Cap players on your server

I meritted with 2. One was JP named Princessmomo or something, WAR, Joyeuse/Tabarzin. The other was NA, I forget the name he was on RDM wearing assault jerkin and melee. He didn't cast one spell the entire party, not even ENTHUDNAR.

I just want to know how they all do it with the PS2-limited inventory space we get. =_=

Homam, Askar, Zenith, Goliard, full AF sets for storage, even with a few +1s and random accesories that can be used by mostly all DD jobs or all mage jobs, without being very job-specific besides 4-5 of them.

And a variety of assorted mules for all that non-ex, non-storable stuff.

I'm trying really hard to not sound ungrateful when your post is clearly well-meant and intended as helpful but you just listed everything so painfully obvious any player with half a brain would do it all already (all my jobs share gear to some extent, I have inventory/safe/locker/storage all capped, am paying SE for six mules for storage and I throw gil at the AF storage NPC on daily basis). But hey, maybe it'll help someone else. After four years of random rare/ex junk collected though, I'm beyond simple advice. I just figured I'd ask here if the Maat cappers had any hidden tricks up their sleeves.

Well I'm getting uncomfortably close, and you know I don't really like using my mules... And now with blm/whm up there, I don't just have 8 jobs to throw random DD gear at to save space heh. I'm currently at 80/80, 80/80, 64/64, and 57/60... Fuck mog bonanza, and fuck those fucking marbles. Soon it'll be even worse, too, once I buy the rest of the gear for my BLM.

The way I really saved space was by, simply, not doing AF. I only have full AF for pld/blm/rng.... You know, jobs whose AF is actually good and worth using.

Lots of maat cap players aren't pimped out because they have a maat's cap. In other words they sacrifice time doing end gamey stuff to go exp. Then you have the other section of Maat cap players who have it all, who manage to squeeze every piece of time not doing endgame stuff to go exp.

Personally I have picked a few jobs that I want to gear up as well as I can, within reason. Which is my PLD, NIN, WAR. And currently working on THF. None of these jobs are worthy of the "Post pictures of your gear" thread, but they aren't worthy of the gimp thread either, in my opinion. Partly because I suck at making money.

Any other 75 I have is gimp cause I don't play them. SAM doesn't have a Hagun or any merits. BLM only has Ice/Thunder HQ staves, no sorc ring, etc. RDM has.. uh.. AH gear. I've even thought of NQing my HQ Ice/Thunder staves.

The problem is, once you have multiple 75 DDs, you lack the desire to pimp them all. I'm not even sure I want to 75DRG cause I can't even see myself using it. However, if you keep coming as XXX to an event and you are using severely gimp gear, then that's your problem. It's not caused by owning the hat.

While leveling, I don't splurge on gear, but I don't keep myself gimped either. I'm a serious advocate for up to date gear, as long as that gear doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.

8 75's here, 54 lvls til cap; then only 47 lvls til 15 75s, doesnt seem too bad

2 75s and all 66s is lame lol

I will admit I've slacked on merits for some of my 75s though, jobs I hate like WHM

As for me, doubt I'll 75 everything. Getting tired of exping as. It's a real drain if you don't party with people you know.

We had 2 in our LS and they were both really really well geared. There were always LS leveling statics (sometimes including good friends outside the LS). Do a couple of hours a day with a knowledgeable static, and it's not difficult to get in efficient exp time and still hit the end game.
