Any good movies?

I just saw Shake Hands with the devil. It was absolutely amazing. Although they did cut a good amount from the actual story because of the low production budget it was very very well done. It chronicles the time of Romeo Dallaire, the Canadian general who oversaw the 1994 Rwanda Massacre. It basically shows how he tried to prevent the massacre and how the UN turned their back on their own soldiers and the people of Rwanda. It also shows what has happened to him as a result of watching the events and knowing he could do nothing.

I wrote a lengthy thesis on the UN involvement in the Rwandan Crisis back in college. General Dallaire was quite an amazing individual. I've never seen this movie, I should watch it. Does it cover his life post-genocide. He had battles with alcoholism and even became a suicide risk.

somewhat, it often shows him in therapy discussing how witnessing the events have changed him. It didn't mention alcoholism, but deep depression was very prominent (cutting and wanting to kill himself due to PTSD). The movie was based on his book of the events and it was filmed in the locations where they actually took place. Although production wise it was not done as well as Hotel Rwanda, it is still by far the most accurate account of the events I have seen to date.

Be Kind Rewind was boring IMO... Jack Black, meh.

Got to re-watch 27 Dresses, love that movie. Good for chicks.
