When I killed Cheesehorder, I duo'd it with a friend and it deagg'd a few times. After a while it seemed to be if we moved away from where it started running it would not come back. Like if we moved to the opposite door that it ran away through, it wouldn't come back, but if we stayed in the middle to rest and rebuff then it would return.
From my experience and from word-of-mouth. I'm pretty sure Cheese Hoarder Gigiroon unclaims and de-aggros when DoTs wear off. Happened a few times to me tonight when I was Dia IIing it for the hell of it. Better off hitting it with Banish if you want to wear it down without blowing it completely.
Does anyone know if wiki is right where it says Chamrosh can no longer be spell locked with Dia after using Wisecrack? I'd rather not have to resort to any 2hrs for a T1 fight like CS stun or w/e
Its nukes aren't bad at all, CS Stun would be a waste lol, just cure through
Thanks, yeah, I'm great at over-worrying about thingswas fine, think he only used one -aga, did about 400dmg to everyone so not too bad.
K Tinnen just raped my ally 2x. Can someone explain how their ally kills him, and the setup. We seem to either get too close and hit by AoEs, or too far and he draws in like mad and spams blasts/trembling because of it. He also rarely ever loses a head and gets it back very very quickly if he does.
Edit: sig is month old, was away.
Try reading the goddamn Op.
Then get better tanks?
Seriously, if your BLM are getting drawn in enough to cause an issue, against a mob that is not only slowable, but elegiable, then really your tanks are made of shit and fail, that's all there is to it.
We did it with 2 blinktank, 2 SAM that moves in only to SC, and a RNG + 3 BLM just doing the bulk of the damage, and barring a few draw in on the DD, there was not much issue.
If WS become an issue, then don't feed it TP by meleeing, and just tank from the leg (even though it'd fucking turn to blast you for full damage anyway)
The OP is pretty damn extensive in the fight description, to the point where if you can't figure out the fight with the listed strategy and hands on experience from wiping to it twice, then all I'm gonna say is either you or a good amount of people in your group are bunch of morons.
Just to nitpick, I'm pretty sure Tinnin only turns to face its target for TP when it regrows one of its heads. It has a TP order, too. First head regenerated is Barofield to Polar Blast (turns toward target for max damage) and then second head regenerated is Barofield to Polar Blast to Pyric Blast (turns to target for max damage for both). After the heads regrow it won't exhibit this behavior unless you cut a head off and it regrows again. So after both heads are up you can have your tanks on the legs to reduce breath damage like you suggested.
It still does the turning randomly even without cutting the head.
That's really odd. I never noticed that behavior when I fought it at all. We had a fight last about an hour with only 10 people and it only ever turned when it regrew a head.
Well, I only remember cutting its head once, since that was the only time it decided to use a blast instead of nerve gas after a bullwark.
But I do remember it randomly turning on a WS to make sure the blast does full damage on the tank more than once.
We did 4 Tinnin few weeks ago. Found this NM super easy. Beat it in 26 mins each time with 15. Just followed all the strat that is listed here and other popular sites. I only used one tank. Makes it easier for mages to only have to worry about keeping him. Other melee were 2 Sams that would Run in and WS and 1 THF rest were BLms and support. Went real smooth. Only long part was not doing damage when you first pop it so it could regrow all its heads before u start.
It was probably long because you werent doing any damage. I'm almost certain it will pop a head every time you do a 5-10% dmg skillchain
Brass Borer does not have random targets for Cannonball, However - with the damage that cannonball can produce, hate can get very confusing. taking it down as 3bst 1smn 1thf, however, i can have 4 pets on it and stand right by it, when it dies it will go after the smn or thf, me following it with my pet.
Random, no. Unexpected, yes.

That went on for about 45 minutes over 6 fights. He was glued to me, but whenever his Cannonball timer was up he'd turn to face the BLM Japetus and try to Cannonball him then turn back and stare at me when it failed. I've watched another group where it decided it wanted the SMN's blood, even Cannonballing him immediately again as he Reraised up. I can't figure out the pattern, but it's not just screwy hate due to Cannonball (Which should never actually hit anyone anyway).
A BLU with Cocoon and Tacos can probably straight tank Brass Borer (I fought him sub THF and his Cannonballs only hit for ~90-250 DMG). With sub WAR or PLD you can probably shed off a lot more DMG. As for tanking areas, if straight tank just go to the gate. However, if you actually want to kite him, drag him to the Apkallu area (Where you zone in after escaping from Halvung) and around there is this huge pillar which you can kite around (He may change paths as you kite, but you can target him and use the arrow to figure out the direction he is headed).
