I've been on this ride several times. The rail is above the car and your feet dangle when you're all strapped in. There are several sections where the car swoops low to the ground, he probably got clipped by the bottom of it as it went by. Though how you don't hear that thing coming (it's fucking loud, nevermind all the people screaming) is beyond me.

Mr. Freeze is a better ride, though. I love those rollercoasters that go straight up vertical and then do the whole ride in reverse. I think Mr. Freeze has the highest vertical climb of any coaster in the US, or at least it did when I rode it a few years ago. :3

I think that now goes to Superman in Six Flags Cali. Mr. Freeze is fun, I think the takeoff is the best. Most g-forces I think I've ever experienced on a coaster. Ride is just too damn short for me.

Crazy, that list has a lot of our six flags coasters on it. I looked up vertical climbs but didn't get anything, but I don't think anything current beats Kingda Ka anyway since it's the same up as it is down.
