I LOVED Casino Royal, it was just much more interesting to me. I liked his imperfections and the fact that he got hurt, and the story actually caught me by surprise.

can't wait I'm a HUGE bond fan. I liked the casino royale redux and daniel craig, but not as much as the older bonds. I will say he is a much better choice than timothy dalton.

to be fair - alot of people were saying that about pierce brosnan too after just goldeneye. while I love the direction it's gone so far, I want to see this too before I decide. :3

I'm the minority who didn't like this new Bond and wasn't a fan of Casino Royale at all. That being said, the trailer makes this one look better, I hope it's more like Flemming's portrayal of Bond.

In regards to the above post about his hair color, I have to agree. I've read about 11 or 12 of Flemming's books, and in every one Bond is described as tall, dark, suave, ect. This guy really doesn't come off like that (not just physically), and I see glaring differences in how he carries himself on screen as opposed to how Bond is described in the books and how Connery and Pierce (accurately) carried themselves. I hope he changes in QoS, but it looks like the story will be entertaining regardless.

Matter of opinion I know, but I disagree wholeheartedly. I thought Daniel Craig exuded a very high level of suaveness and elegance in his portrayal as James Bond, but at the same time, for the storyline's sake he had to exhibit a sort of "roughness" in personality because its when James Bond first became 007. So in essence, he's still a "newb" of sorts. His interactions with Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale (before they got all lovey-dovey) were a highlight of how well he did Bond. Her betrayal to him sets him up nicely for how we already know James Bond.

Er, what? Physical appearance aside, Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond is far more in line with the way he was shown in the books. Sean Connery took his own spin on the idea, and since that point everyone who played Bond was basing themselves off Connery's portrayal, not the actual book version.

The point with Casino Royale (which was the very first Bond novel) was that the series from this point is going back to his origins, and it's showing his development to the smooth and calculated Agent we know today.

I think it's awesome to see how Bond was when he was just starting out. No problems with Daniel Craig, last movie was a nice surprise.

That's funny, I'm pretty sure the Bond novels were written in the 50s and 60s and the Bourne series started in the 80s. Yeah, you might be talking about the movies but regardless, they've taken A LOT from the Bond series; even the Bourne movies were inspired by Bond.

Generally have hot chicks to boot, but I don't know. I always get chills with the main James Bond theme. Looks like a fun movie.

The series needed the change. Yes, I know it was making money before Craig, but really - the series needed this jolt of life that is called Daniel Craig.

I can definitely see why you would have this opinion, but I know I'm not the only one who could take 50 bond movies that are like From Russia with Love or Goldeneye or Dr. No. I just hope they go back to the older movie style sooner or later.

Kinda like FF really, I understand why they change it up, but I could take a bunch of FF games that are like FF4/6/9.

You could, and honestly I like the GoldenEye/Die Another Day/From Russia with Love time movies also, but for the series to make the jump into the new generation and continue winning over new fans, it had to shake up the formula. So far, it's been an amazing success - when's the last time critics went nuts over a Bond film?
