You're referring to Caroline Cossey from For Your Eyes Only right? She wasn't the main squeeze in the film but she was indeed transsexual. Apparently she was born with Klinefelter's syndrome and was technically a dude when she was born. There was all kinds of bad press when the movie came out about it even though she was just a pool girl in one of the scenes; I wouldn't consider her a "Bond girl" anymore than any of the other hundreds of women extras that have been in the films over the years.

It's weird who wiki considers bond girls tho. It has Minnie Diver in "Goldeneye" and she just has a bad singer, cameo moment in the flick.

Bond girls have long been exceptional women. From Ursula Andress to Halle Berry, they have each embodied the feminine ideal of their particular time. Gemma Arterton, the statuesque stunner who plays Agent Fields in next month's Quantum of Solace, has proven herself to be exceptional not only for her English Rose beauty, but also because she was born with six fingers on each hand.

I like this new bond because he's real, vulnerable as he has emotions like a real person should. He's my favorite perhaps except for Sean Connery.

He doesn't have emotion in this movie anymore. Now he is a cold-hearted bastard about what happened to him in the last movie (aka: now he grows into the bond we have grown up w/). Most of the reviews say he is out for revenge in this movie... So dunno how much emotional termoil there will be, unlike all the hard decisions he had to make in the first movie.

So far I'm enjoying Craig as Bond and am looking forward to the new one. For the most part, I like the new cast overall. Judy Dench plays a great M for Bond's 'formative' years and Wright seems to handle Felix pretty well. I'll be interested to see if they bring in a Q during Craig's run. That would be pretty tough though since everyone loved Desmond Llewelyn so much. Cleese did ok enough but it just wasn't the same.

On a related note, my mother in law keeps talking about how Craig isn't right for Bond and just can't pull it off. I asked her what she didn't like about him in Casino Royale. 'Oh, I never saw it. He just doesn't look right.'

Cleese did much better then the other Q they had in Never Say Never Again, so I hope they bring him back, and the whole revenge aspect of Craig's Bond makes me appreciate timothy dalton's Bond in License to Kill more.

I always liked how Dalton portrayed Bond too bad he got stuck with shitty movies. He deserves a lot more credit than he gets that's for sure. Dalton grew up a huge Bond fan and was really into the novels. It's just a shame the license got hosed and he got screwed out of doing more films and the ones he left us with aren't great. :/

The entire premise of the sequel is based on the fact that he wants revenge so bad that he's giving up everything he's worked for. That's pretty emotional. I am tired of the eternal stereotype that bond will just sleep around and never get attached.

Just got home from seeing this.
The story is complete garbage, bond unfortunately died with Goldeneye it seems.
The action sequences of the film are pretty intense which i do enjoy, the bad guy is yet another weedy little nerd and his master plan is just dumb.
I miss the bond movies where the bad guys were somewhat threatening and the movies had a certain charm to them, this is just a bad action movie with James Bond 007 stamped on it as a promotion.

Im not really sure how you can say Bond died with Goldeneye, as Quantum's basic plot was written 40 years eallier by the guy who created Bond. Goldeneye was written by a film screenwriter who's sole intention to sell Bond as an actionflick, which he did, and I love Goldeneye, but the story isnt the best.

But I cant pass judgment myself as i've yet to see QoS.. soooo.

But seriously, Casino Royale and The World is Not Enough were pretty good Bond movies after Goldeneye.

Hard to explain, i think its more a fact of we got to know bond as sean connery, roger moore etc etc, suave, witty and sometimes even comedic. That is how we knew bond all the way through until goldeneye (not counting other brosnan films cos they blew)
Actors changed throughout the bond series but craig has shown such a drastic change, even though it is more fitting to the books, the entire character was lost and now is more of an assassin than a spy.
Granted this is just my personal tastes but I severely disliked the new movie.
