He had the exact same gadgetry he had in the last one. Fancy cellphone and the car. And like I said before, I liked that he didnt do it with the Bond girl cause of all they setup with him closing himself off to the world b/c of Vesper. He only slept with Fields for the mission.

Craig and the writers didn't want to do a Moore-type funny Bond cause of Austin Powers having worn out all the gags according to an interview Craig gave.

Okay, guess you got me with the phone/car. I was thinking more like the older films where the watch could do a ton of stuff. Detonator, Magnet, Laser, etc. And some common, everyday items doing other things.

I think my favorite gadget was the touchpad to control his car from Tomorrow Never Dies though

I hated the way the gadgets were getting in the brosnan movies, I don't remember what they were like in the older vids though.

Even more ridiculous. Brosnan ones were a bit more realistic, the older ones were completly out of left field.
Crazy gadgets were a major selling point of Bond films.

The first time Q pops up(From Russia with Love iirc) the gadgets are entirely realistic lol, they were more or less plausible in the Connery movies, as much as the banter with Q/R is cute I hated how it basically was like Q knows each predicament Bond will get into in the movie and gives him the perfect tool to react lol. Craig's Bond is largely operating outside of standard channels in these 2 movies so I can see why there is no Q since he hasn't had a need for Q or gadgetry. The crazy touch screens MI-6 has in this movie can be considered Q type stuff, but I also found interesting how they've changed the dynamic of MI-6 from the older Bonds and where did they get to calling M Mum when it stands for Minister >.>. Also, Q or no Q next movie, they better have Moneypenny.

I saw the movie today, loved it. The sold out theatre seemed to too. Definitely good, I'm not sure where these bad reviews are coming from. Did a couple things different, but still sweet. If you think you've seen half the movie in the trailers/commercials, you haven't. Most of the trailer/commercial clips are in the first 20-30 minutes.

Im really upset this movie is only 1:45 long, this is the shortest Bond ever, and only the 2nd to run so far under 2hrs. All the other Bond films have been atleast 2hr, and most are 2:10, only Dr. No was significantly under 2hr.

Im going to see it in a few hours, and i'm really hoping the time doesnt play a major factor. I know the movie will feel rushed because as people said it's the most action packed Bond.. but I hope they did it right ;-;

It didn't feel rushed to me, the shortness is likely due to the fact that the last 20 minutes of Casino Royale are the plot setup for this movie.

Saw the movie last night and thought it was fine. The plot as a whole made sense to me despite Bond not being very "Bond-like," but IMO that's kind of the point of the movie since it starts immediately where CR left off, and Bond is still a nub-00 at this point. The only thing that really annoyed me about the movie were the shaky-cam action sequences; CR was way better with the long panning sequences compared to QoS's frenetic cuts. The motive for the villain does seem a little lame in a movie-goer point of a view. I know water is one of the most important resources in the world but Dominic Greene was very underwhelming as a villain.

Also I read some reviews yesterday saying Bond doesn't get with the Bond girl in the movie. Uh what? He got with Miss Fields, which in the credits you find out her first name is Strawberry. While not the main attraction I'd still consider her a bond girl.

Just got back from it, the plot was fine, and thought it did a great job of continuing the Bond reboot. The whole water plot was weak, as well it was made to be, as that isnt the real villan hes going after, it was just a filler to show us how BOnd developed into how he is.

I did end up as I feared, feel like I was rushed just a bit, but it wasnt all too bad. There are currently two more movies planned to continue this reboot, and going after the main villan, and I hope it continues to be this good. Now that they have the 'how Bond became Bond' out of the way, we can get back to focusing on the Bond weve known to love.

Barbara Broccoli said that the next movie is gonna complete the storyline with Quantum; but that she expects that next movie will have Bond being Bond.

I saw it yesterday and I enjoyed it. I dont tend to compare movies with the previous ones, I like to let each movie tell their own respective story. It was good

Saw it today and thought it was good. Was entertained throughout. Random, but the multi-touch table was incredible.

Ms. Fields was not the "Bond" girl in this movie. She had the same role as the hot Persian chick in CR that he seduces right before the airport chase scene. And I would never classify her as a Bond girl.

I enjoyed the movie and still thing craig is a great bond. I would have liked more story development but i guess thats what the next one is for.
