"All Enemies" objectives requires killing Rampart to progress to the next floor in Nyzul. No doubt if those dropped Alexandrite one would have been reported by now. I've yet to see one there, personally.

One thing that was going on in the thread just prior to it being locked, was someone having said the NPC reports needing 49,999 Alexandrite once one is traded in, but there was no image confirmation. It would be nice if someone were to confirm that. Slott asked about it in the thread, too, and I had been assuming until he did that he was the one who'd confirmed it and I'd just missed the post lol

We killed a few gears post update of alexandrite on floors with avoid detection whilst needing to light lamps, didn't drop anything though so can scratch that off too

50 000 is way too much for it to be real. It has to be something around 100 or 200. 500 in worst case scenario

I personally think they just put that 50,000 requirement to ensure no one can finish the quest "Duties, Tasks, and Deeds" until they finish implementing the relic weapons.

Just came out of a MNK n WHM duo run in baf. Killed some gears for shitz n giggles. Got 3 Alex out of west room single gears (9) before we got bored and time ran low anyway.


I think it has now been mentioned 50000 times that 50000 Alex are ridiculus. From a point of thinking into SEs mind the other Tasks take like 10 and 25 and 40 weeks.

Guesstimating 5 Alex per salvage run a number of 500 or 1000 would seem "sane".


I also had a tought about that it could be possible you need to do 3 tasks out of the 4 ones given. But I will stop here before it gets too AVish.




Atm I am at 112k Nyzul tokens - when I reach 150k I will crash my disk and start the Qiqirin quest. I will put my language on GERMAN before tho to see if I can gather some different wording or something.

"In case you didn't know, they're capable of self-replication." Perhaps the same is the case of Alexandrite, since it's pieces of them.

But how would they replicate...

It's probably the game's explanation of them being up every Salvage, kind of like when killing the Beastmen kings they say something like "There will be more from the North!!" "I pass the throne to my brother..." etc

Best i've had so var is Silver Sea where we did Gear, Gears, CC + train which was 9 drops @ TH3 (and of course no 35 drops)

Oh, did have a double drop last night while clearning the 10 gears in Bhaflau; Of course now i'm failing to remember if it was a single or the one tripple gear.

If this were true, you would need to collect all 20 weapons and turn them in to Abquhbah. Although he asks if you've found more weapons even after turning in your weapon of choice, I think this is supposed to leave the opportunity open to upgrade a different weapon mid-quest. The quest line continues with one weapon, so either Paparoon's dialogue contains a typo or the Empress forgot to divide by 20.

Even if we only need a fraction of the total gems to upgrade a single weapon, the other 3 parts of the quest remain. Maybe we only have to collect the Assault data and artifacts once for every weapon, and 2500 gems for each weapon. Or maybe the next leg of the quest is an even a greater pain in the ass!

Also attempted to use inactive portal with 23 Alexandrites , nothing happened, then exited with the normal portal with no new reaction as well.

You don't think its possible to get drites from harvesting do you? o,O I mean, you can get elemental ores, beastcoins, and other random things from it, so why not these gems? Maybe tree sapling with wind > fire crystal for the green red thing, and see what you get?

I'm pretty sure we got 2 Alexandrite off the Bhaflau FL2 Reactionary Rampart without actually killing it (just letting it die on its own). At first I thought it was a Hunting Wasp that dropped, but I didn't take a screenshot.

fourth floor zhayolm: double drop off rampart to "pop" the teleporter. and on a lighter note BC FINALLY dropped some bodb's slops for me wooooot, it's been months of nonstop usukane body 25s and other random crap

Awesome.

So far, I've only heard/seen cases of the correct rampart dropping gems, probably because nobody has time to play with the others. Zhayolm can already put out 20+ gems after killing every gear in the zone with enough time to manage killing frogs and occasionally boss. If the incorrect ramparts cough up Alexandrites, exchanging boss time for 4F ramparts could up the total to 30 or more.

Had 2 drop from Gyro gears, didn't screen shot it because I just assumed that everyone has accepted 1-2 drops from any archaic machinery.

2 Alex from Gyro gears is a kick in the nuts when you see the second and then third line of treasure roll by... >.<
