Yeah you just redo all 50 Assaults.


You trade your Log, Chronicle, Jeurnal etc to the runic lamp and totally unspectacular you will recieve it back with a 1 line message. It will not end the Assault in any way.


I made a seperate macro pallete for the 5 books with "/trade item <t>" so I don ´t waste any time if an Assault should ever cut close.


At the place where the Crafter Signature is for usual items the Assault books have a line that says:

Whenever you recomplete an Assault and do the trade one of the " - " will turn into an " * ". This fills up from right to the left with the right most being the PSC Assault and the leftmost being FL.


So for example if you go to Leujaoam Sanctum and reclear Red VS Blue, Imperial Code and Orichalcum Survey your "Signature" on the book would look like this:

Beware of opening the chest before trading a book to the rune. In every Assault where I traded the book after opening the chest (and before the chest faded out) I wouldn't get the message confirming the trade. It's a real ball-buster to plod through the worst mission of a zone for the second time only to have the rune at you with 30 seconds left.

You didnt ask, but I'll say my status too: We have a whole group currently working on relics, We're scattered between 50-75K Ichor (I'm at 75), 100-180k tokens (some people are over 150, some are around 100, i'm at about 128), and we haven't started on assaults yet. We're currently flagging the last persons runic disc (so all 6 of us have it and will start assaults together)

I'm doing vajra, riios is doing Drk weap (i think) we have hammy doing rdm weap, 2 not sure yet, and rudo either doing pld or war. We should be done with nyzul in 3 weeks, and then start assaults, and I should be done with phase 2 (Ichor tokens by the time assaults are done, barring alexandrite stage. So hopefully in a couple of months, we should all have our stage 2s done

Im focusing on Nagi for my dream of Kikoku/Nagi Dualwield while praying Nagi can have full effect in off hand. My biggest block should be the Ampulles atm (only around 30k). While we do Odin every 2 weeks it will still take around half a year to get to 100k. I think a group of JPs on Carbuncle are spamming Tier3 Einherjars while ignoring Odin for max Ampulles/Week.

There is a significant bonus for going above and beyond the required 5 floor requirement for disc flagging in nyzul.

This is excellent, thank you very much. Floor 96 to 3 netted over 2500 tokens in a single tag! As long as we aren't dealt entire colonies of Psycheflayers and/or singing frogs, we can easily push through an extra couple floors.

Same with the Assault memoires. I guess the Empress had time to teach him Japanese but didn't bother teaching him how to clear entries from his dialogue box. Pretty sure I received credit, though, since I got the "come back later after sorting your inventory" message even though all the books were traded. So dumb Qiqirn.

I was getting the same "Come back with more rooooooooooooom" Chat, too after trading the book. while still having my assault logs.

With the patch less than 24 hours away, I wish to revitalize this thread to prepare for information collection after the adjustments are in place. Currently, Alexandrites are confined strictly to Salvage and drop only from gear/gears/ramparts, as many as 2 per mob, but are conspicuously absent from all chariot mobs.

When the patch data has been downloaded, I encourage everyone who can read .dat files to look for any new targets or mobs inside Salvage (Nyzul?) as well as any new NPC chat regarding Alexandrites. This will give us leads on some means of increasing Alexandrite through subquests and/or bonus NMs, but I'll be waving the little green things in the face of every TAU NPC anyway just to be sure! If higher denominations or cluster-type items exist, they will probably appear first in the Advanced forum data-mining thread.

Keep an eye out for Alexandrite from:

- Chariots, both Archaic and Boss
- Non-machinery mobs
- Nyzul/ZNM/Einherjar/Dynamis/Limbus/Assault/ISNM/Chocobo Digging
- Anywhere is fine
- Nowhere is fine, too.

...and try stealing from machinery, or trading gems to existing targets inside Salvage (or new targets inside Nyzul?). Hopefully, the promised changes won't be too subtle so we can start figuring shit out early.

If it's anything above 50m worth of alexendrite, I will be really pissed. I hope it's going to be around 10-20m tho...the other requirement are anoying enough.

Good info here though Alma. I'm currently working on a Ryunohige on Phoenix. Currently only at 17k Amps, 115 Alexs, and about 35k tokens. Captain rank of course. No real rush either until I learn about the alex changes.
