I really doubt SE would track all his items down to that missing Wind Crystal, and take it back from whoever bought it. Screw every1 because some1 was dumb enough to lose his account? (I'm waiting on my data recovery btw 2 weeks and counting) Very doubtful,

If I end up losing the sash to SE then oh well, hopefully I'll at least get my gil/items that I traded back. Like I said, I don't think they'll make an exception for this since I'm sure there are several higher end items like kraken clubs and gaiters already being duplicated via rollbacks. I suppose it just comes down to if/where SE is going to draw the line on this.

That item is all about epeen, same reason why people pay millions for a Dalm+1, Mahatma cape etc. And the price is pretty reasonable for the probably ultimate epeen item out there

Buying it knowing it was stolen does nothing to improve his chances of keeping it. At least a relic would have been legitimately obtained. If SE does indeed take it from him, I doubt he's getting back what he paid for it. Especially if they do the smart thing and ban the seller. Basically you spent a fortune for nothing, if SE does the right thing.

And truthfully, I agree. A relic is way more useful than that sash. It's a good piece, don't get me wrong, but if I'm going to spend more than 100mil on something, it damn well better be the most useful thing in my inventory for the jobs that can use it.

Um, what if it was a cheaper item and he didn't know it was stolen? Does that person have to be screwed over and lose the item and not get the amount of items/gil he used to pay for it? Sounds like even more money being drained from the economy via this way.

Exactly. I don't remember hearing any1 saying their items mysteriously vanished.

Does this mean that any1 that bought anything from him, or any other account hacking RMT
like him would have got owned? I don't remember ppl mentioning it before this sash dup idea
came. What I think happens is, SE checks when exactly the third party logged into your account (via the time window you give and the ISPs you say you usually use)
then trys to find a saved data of how your character looked like before the hacking, and loads it for you. In other words, whether they dup it for Auronku or not, I doubt the original
one would get touched.
