Buying it knowing it was stolen does nothing to improve his chances of keeping it. At least a relic would have been legitimately obtained. If SE does indeed take it from him, I doubt he's getting back what he paid for it. Especially if they do the smart thing and ban the seller. Basically you spent a fortune for nothing, if SE does the right thing.

And truthfully, I agree. A relic is way more useful than that sash. It's a good piece, don't get me wrong, but if I'm going to spend more than 100mil on something, it damn well better be the most useful thing in my inventory for the jobs that can use it.

The sash is the best waist piece for any Damage dealer hands down, and it can be used on any job. So he decided to level a job that is not ninja, guess what he can use it there! His kikou is emoing out in his mog house. The sash is a better investment for all jobs, where a relic is a single job investment. Gungnir Dragoons who don't play Dragoon for the win.

And personally I would have hoped before buying this he called a GM and asked about the rollback service and items from those accounts. Atleast I would have.

If you bought a stolen car, and the police working on the case created a car for the original owner out of thin air, why should anyone else care where you got the car from? 100M might take what? 3, 4 months for someone with his capital to rebuild. If he wants a relic, he can fricking *get* a relic. When is there going to be another opportunity to get a Sash?

Actually SE should just ban him for handling stolen goods, he'd sure get arrested if it were proved he knowingly bought stolen goods RL. If there weren't people like him willing to buy this shit, then less accounts would get stolen.

SE TOS isn't the law, and even if it were, there is nothing in there that says there will be punishment for buying stolen items.

Even so, in real life, if you know you are buying a stolen car, you can go to the cops and they will right the situation. If you called a GM about the sash, they would tell you to fuck off.
