I'll never understand why people continue to read the "This fire is really fucking hot" sign, stick their hand in it anyways, then wonder why they, out of all people, got burned.

Because nowhere within this thread was is it evident he whined about anything. Whatever Sath is referencing must be from a previous thread somewhere in the past several people in this thread have also said they must've missed.

He tried to go above the heads of everyone and use personal influence to get a thread that never should've been locked locked.

That to me is playing the 'sore loser' card, aka whining.

I didn't take it that way. To me it seemed like he didn't want to be known as someone to seek sympathy from others for getting hacked and took the modest approach, asking a mod to lock the thread. That's what everyone else who's commented on this also seems to be getting from him doing that.

I have read the thread. All of it, like I always do before I post a reply. To me it just seems like another case of "let's bash someone with a rare item who got hacked" as previously pointed about by another poster in this thread. Would be alot different if he whined but he didn't. That's all I'm getting at.

The guy specifically asked me to keep my mouth under control on this topic regarding posting to BG - because believe me, the FIRST thing I would have done, and he knew it, was to come here and plead the entire community for help, since I'm more vocal and social than he is and he wouldn't do that.

But I did as he asked, outside my ranting disbelief in IRC on Saturday and trying to help target how it happened to him.

Someone finds this sash, Naru posts my name within about 3 posts and makes it sound like I was gonna come charging in here with a full huge story to share, like I already had dished to the IRC bunch or something, and with relish.

Auronku gets upset with me, as it obviously looks like I completely disregarded his wishes in this case and acted on my own motivation. I see a topic that honestly looks to go nowhere and accomplish little of anything except ADVERTISE A FUCKING NINURTA'S FOR SALE; because admittedly, what can we do about this. Little to nothing. Because his name was mentioned, because he asked, because it concerns, quite frankly, him and him only - outside of trying to get the point across about not buying this because there's a high chance of it just getting axed anyway - and because yes, I felt badly, because it was making it look like I went and blabbed or something, I locked the thread so he would know that yes, I am on his side here and not trying to antagonize him.

There isn't anything else to go on about, seriously. How many posts can there be about "I bet so and so buys it" or "this is RMT/this isn't RMT" or "update your flash" or whatever. Now you're just yakking away at whether or not I was in the right to lock it in the first place. So I'm saying ok, fine, maybe I'm in the wrong, though I'm a firm believer of majority != correct; I did what I felt was right at the moment. Ah, ok. I can agree with this. Just didn't get a negative vibe from everything he's posted in this thread so far. To me it just seems asking the mod to lock the thread would just be a way of preventing the people who want to jump down his throat right away just for having a rare item tagged next to his name along with being hacked on a public forum.
