Not saying anyone did any of this - but what's to stop someone from dumping all their gear onto another character, and claiming their account was hacked so it could be restored? Shit, that's not to mean don't allow character restorations, because I know two cases of good friends who have been hacked and restored (thankfully), but I mean...potentially, couldn't someone do that?

If it were my sash, even if I was planning on quitting, I'd be extremely pissed. Unless you're running 18 accounts at the same time, the best gear in the game is attainable only through an entire linkshell's efforts -- I hope Auronku or whoever's sash it is gets it back, but at least show some concern for how many people helped you get it. Hell, even if I was quitting, I'd get it back and give it to the next person in line or whatnot.

Hmmm, if you're implying what I think you're implying...I'd be surprised Im the first to have brought it up. Can you think of a reason why someone wouldn't want something like this publicized? I know if I got my account hacked, I'd want the world to know, I'd staple flyers on telephone poles, put sashes on the back of milk cartons, and pretty much get the word out as much as I could. Why else would someone NOT want something like this to be announced to everyone? Honestly not to sound like a dick, but no one feels like this was done on purpose? That this was all setup to dupe a sash, and possibly God knows what else. Sure there's the chance you don't get your shit back, but hey he still has the original one...and the chance at a second sash and a potential 200mil could be worth it. All getting the word out could do is give the account a chance at getting banned before the original is restored, and it doesnt seem like they want that to happen.

Granted I could be way off on this...but from the first post I had this creeping idea in the back of my head. If I'm way off and this is legit, I sincerely apologize for coming off as an insincere dick...but I figured it would be worth potentially fueling the fire for another couple pages.

Hey, I gave ample warning, don't jump down my throat. I could be way off, but guess how many times I've heard "I KNOW THESE PEOPLE SO WELL, THAY CUD NEVAR DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT." I've seen people close to me do some fucked up shit to people close to them, just to make a profit or to fuck someone over. Kicking people from the LS being the LEAST of those things.
