Registry tweaking for graphics

I understand that there is a thread on Alla regarding what to change, but I really didn't understand the post that I saw. I have a friend that knows a lot more about this, and he checked out my FFXI registry settings (after FFXI was installed, but BEFORE it was updated - I just finished formatting Windows, etc.) So he didn't really understand where these settings were, as we were not seeing them in the registry. Are they supposed to be manually added? Could someone give some helpful tips. Thanks!

The settings should appear in the registry already, you don't need to add them. That being said, it's possible they're added when you actually run the game or the FFXI Config app. So if you haven't done that, you might want to.
