I find it a disgusting habit even though I smoke tobacco.
Mostly because 99.999999% of all people I've ever known who smoked pot, most of them were deadbeats, crappy people, not trustworthy, didn't have jobs, no career, ambition, etc.
And -everyone- who gets high is really fucking annoying.

The irony in this post is killing me.

Tobacco smell sticks to people like white on rice. Sometimes I can't even tell when my friends have smoked weed. However, when my co-workers come inside after a smoke break, they stink up the whole damn office. Nothing worse than catching a huge wiff of tobacco every time an employee walks by.

Never have, never will. It holds zero appeal to me, so I never did it/don't do it, and the smell is awful to me. Any time I've been around it, getting the second-hand smoke, my face swells, and I spend ~24 hours violently ill with a fever. My guess is an allergy of some sort.

If people want to do it in the privacy of their own home, it should be legal. However, I don't want people driving while stoned, just as I don't want people driving drunk.

Also, I really can't agree with the excuse for doing it being that it's a stress relief... Go for a walk/run, exercise, etc..., it's so much healthier.

This thread is a golden example of the misconceptions about weed and stoners. I go to a pretty competitive (academically) college, tuition nearing $40,000/yr, hard classes, etc. Two of my best friends and I smoked pretty much on the daily during first and second semester and none of us went below a 3.0; hell, Nicole got all As. It's not the pot that makes you the deadbeat, it's your personality and the way you deal with things.

Most of it is you being used to the smell of pot, and not cigarettes.

But I would honestly say that equal quantity of both, or even 1 joint v.s. 1 cigarette, the pot will smell more, worse, stick to your clothes longer, and be detectable from a further distance.

Smoked 2-3 times a day for the first half of college, eventually quit like 5 years ago and haven't touched the stuff since.

Didn't have a particular reason to stop, was just getting bored with the experience.

I definately agree here and would like to add that pot enhances whatever personality you have. You are a deadbeat? Smoke up and you become a super deadbeat. You are creativly inclined? Smoke up and you become the super creative. Personal opinion there.

I have to say about tobacco/reefer smoke discussion, they both reek to the extremes. However, if you just smoked a cigarette you don't realy notice how much that cigarette reeks, same for pot. I for one would rather smell some fine ganja then tobacco. I can't describe it but the smell is so intoxicatingly delicious to me, it is up there on my aphrodisiac list as well.

I used work at Gamestop high alllllllll the time and not once has manager/customer ever questioned me about it. The only people who have ever confronted me about weed at work are the ones who smoke too.

You can detect burning pot from a greater distance, compared to a cigarette.

Pot doesn't linger on clothes like tobacco does, it stays on articles of clothing for less periods of time and usually if someone picks up on the pot smells its more than likely from the hands due to rolling a joint, or holding the joint.
