P.S.: If you haven't watched Kurikinton Fox do his thing you owe it to yourself to watch it all.

Can't stop watching youtube videos now. One of the best soundtracks in a game, ever. Let's hope if this does well enough, it might finally inspire them to make another sequel!
I know this is in reply to something someone else said, but seriously: Hacked PSP. Everything I buy stays in the UMD slot for exactly 5 minutes while I make an ISO of it, then I never touch the physical game again. Loading from the memory stick improves the load times of everything to the point that unless the software actually slows down there is no lag.
But guess what? Unless they do something that makes the DS version awesome, I can play the original game on my PSP just fine. Unless they do something which is just awesome, (FFIVDS) it wont be worth it as the original translation was excellent (Nothing major cut/censored/care taken to match stuff like songs up) and the original game still holds up well to times test.
There is very noticable lag running it as an Eboot on your PSP. Unless you set Load Speed to fast (which can screw up alot of games), the games will load at the exact same speed on PSP as they did on PS1
If you really want to play it on your PSP, just use SNES9x. With frameskip on Auto the game runs perfectly fine + you get the ease of use with savestates.
The ticking sounds... they bring back many fond memories... I'm getting goosebumps!
Why isn't anybody posting links to Robo's Theme?![]()

Robo's theme = rickroll
duh
(my link isn't a rickroll of robo's theme, it kicks ass)
Give them some credit. They added touch screen functionality to FF3 which was just being able to move with the stylus and select all the commands, which didn't take away from the game at all, because they're not retarded and make that the only controls available. I'm happy to have more RPGs to carry around though.
A portable Chrono Trigger to go alongside my portable FFVI is like heaven on earth for me.
Despite my never-ending love for CT, I'm not sure how I feel about this. There's nothing bad to say, but I'm not as excited as I thought I'd be for this revival. If it lays the groundwork to get the dream team together for a true sequel, then fuck yea, but I don't own a DS and I already have the original SNES, a ROM, and I'll probably try to fish up chronicles on Ebay (because I'm a hopeless sap for story and i want to see the CT>CC connection ending). I will say though that a new dungeon is something I would have liked in the original once I figured out that after you down the black omen, you may as well finish the game and do New Game+, since there's nowhere else to level up (as well). It'll be nice if it's an especially high-level one that's tacked on at the end and has nothing to do with the story. Anything else is unnecessarily and potentially fucks the already excellent flow of the game.
I love Chrono Trigger. But this news doesn't really please me
Having played FF3 DS, a DS remake of CT isn't all that appealing, same as it wasn't for FF4. CT looked amazing on 16 bit 2D graphics, and the DS's PS1-level 3D graphics really don't look nice to me. Now a next gen remake of CT, that'd be great. I'm hoping they're saving that to totally blow me away with a FF6 remake for PS3/360 or something, but I doubt it (and even then, it'd be difficult to translate FF6 successfully to a 3D world). As much as I love CT, running around as 10-poly Chrono in a mediocre looking world isn't such an appealing idea to me. The battle system could lend itself well to the DS though, or they could just throw in some annoying stylus things that just get in the way.
The fact that they're turning some attention to CT does perhaps relight my hopes of a new sequel, but like someone else said, I don't put much hope in SE in continuing an old franchise successfully.
It'll be nice to see CT finally get a release in Europe though. Also, the idea of being able to play CT on a handheld is nice. Oh wait, I already have a SNES emulator on my PSP...
Wow just saw this on YouTube, not very new but if SE can do half of what these kids did I will be amazed

Yeah, I was so pissed when SE nixed that project. I understand why, but couldn't they have just hired the guys instead?
'cept they wont. Square torpedoed this shit years ago. :[
Considering the quality of the enitre thing, SE should have just bought the guys out and made the fucking thing. They did all the work already. -_-
Now if they would just also remake Secret of Mana 1/2 i'd be in love
