HQ plates?

what's high speed plates for? i dont see any difference from NQ

Less chance to fail on taking a picture and better chance at getting some good ability, though if you are doing this for zeni, there is no difference whatsoever since both plates can fail and you get same amount of zeni using HQ or NQ, its just cheaper to buy more stacks of NQ plates.

I used like 60 HQ plates the other day, and had like no better luck than my friends that were with me using NQ plates. The time reduction in taking a picture is noticeable but due to recast times on the items not really worthwhile. These plates aren't at all worth it imo, but maybe I didn't get lucky with them. 2/60 on Tartarus Efts for Dispelling Attack.

It seems to be better for taking pictures of higher level monsters (vt+) and I generally got better skills from them as well. I never saw a difference on the bajillion of dc/ep bunnies I took pictures of with the HQ plates.
