Any good deals on moniters?
I'll eventually be upgrading my god-awful rig to match, but only find myself with enough cash to (hopefully) get a nice new shiny moniter. Any reccomendations on where or what I should be looking at? I'd like to get an HD moniter that can double for my PS3 if need be, but am in no way looking for a replacement for my TV. I appreciate any advice!

Some more information would be nice. What resolution are you aiming for? How much are you willing to spend? How big of a monitor are you looking for?

Not gonna lie, the only criteria I have is "Better than what I have now" which is really a pos. As long as it's an HD monitor that I can use on both my PS3 and outdated computer I'm set. What I'm really looking for is a general idea of what I'll be paying per inch on the screen. . . as well as any brands I should stay away from or seek out.

Samsung makes some of the best LCD widescreen monitors, their 22 and 24 inch versions constantly are high-sellers on newegg. The Dell monitors are great also, the 24 inch version has component and HDMI inputs so you can hook your PS3 up too. But, the Dells run a bit pricier. Samsung will run you around 300 for the 22, 400 for the 24. Dell 24 will be around 550.

The 24" 2408WFP from Dell is amazing monitor, with eight inputs including two DVI, HDMI and a display port. It's $700 though. It may also have ghosting problems.
I like this Acer 24" model: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...267&CatId=3774
It looks great with a PS3 and doesn't ghost.

I can second the Widescreen Flat Panels from DELL, they're pretty awesome for their prices (usually). I have 20'' DELLs for my PCs and I've tried the DVI on them (HDMI>DVI converter) for my PS3 and it looked pretty good. If you have a deep bank look into any TV from Samsung around 24''+ and they should have VGA,DVI,HDMI ports. If you want a monitor only then look for DELL if you want something lower-priced. Samsung does make killer TVs & Monitors, you'll need a big bank to support them though.
