30 days since last evaluation...

Ok, I wanted to know if you wait 30 days, does it automatically rank you down or does it automatically evaluate you? For example if I've done enough points to rank up but don't talk to the NPC, the next time I do, will I have ranked up or down? I don't like campaign the way it is. Always sit around waiting for mobs to show only to have a 5 minute campaign and then have to try to find another place. I wanna just set it to where I don't rank down and don't have to worry about ranking down.

When you next talk to the NPC you will be forced evaluated cause he will notice your seal has expired. Your seal will just expire makeing it to where you wont be able to do campaigns and such. If you didnt meet your quota then you will be demoted "When" you talk to the NPC. You can run around for a few days with an expired seal, you wont be judged the second it wears off. Only when speaking to the NPC. (I got lost in what I was saying. I might need to re-explain this)

To add onto this, you can't do anything in the past where your rank affects things (such as Campagin and I don't think you can do Ops either). It'll just tell you to get an evaluation since your seal expired. When you talk to the NPC if you have done enough, then yes, you should be promoted.

My Wings of Honor seal just expired and currently have 3000 exp into qualifying for next rank. Is there any way to tell whether I will be promoted, retain current medal or demoted without triggering the evaluation? Something like talking to NPC so I know the current status but then disconnecting so it doesn't save my evaluation? This way I can strategize like:

A: Demotion - Evaluate 10 days before update day
B. Retain Medal - Evaluate 5 days before update day
C. Promotion still granted - Evaluate update day

Edit: 8/4/08 No longer qualify for promotion, but they're still happy with my performance.

You'll lose one medal and get a new seal. You can't rank down more than once per evaluation.

Nah, friend just paid for my account for the month so I installed. Probably won't do much but campaign, WotG missions and possibly level with them.

Only lose one rank? Nice. I think I was the highest rank you could be after the first patch after launch, though I imagine that's quite a few down now...

I'm a tad confused about what will happen to my highest medal, I've got Wings IIII and I'm pretty sure I've done my 10k notes even after earning this, but I don't so much feel like doing more campign til I cant get another promotion (next update I'd imagine/hope)

so... should I let it expire? or keep selecting keep my current honors? (the latter seems too simple to be allowed to do)

After 30 days you'll no longer be able to campaign until you take an evaluation. If you evaluate the NPC will force you to renew your medal unless you pull your connection. If you'd put in a lot of campaign time in maintaining it then you can ride this out for 10-20 days I think without demotion. It should be known that the amount of exp to maintain your medal or promotion increases greatly after 25 days.

From preliminary testing:

If you campaign a little: Let it expire & renew it 10 days before update like around Aug 26. Then you'll have 5 days to hit Wings of Honor ranking on Aug 31. Update comes 5 days later & you'll be ready for a promotion putting in the least amount of time campaigning.

If you campaign a lot: I'd just renew your medal every 30 days. Don't renew it 10 days before update so you can get raedy for a promotion.
