Some of you guys are oblivious to whats coming out for the ps3, Microsoft needed this announcement or else the ps3 would have overtook the 360 very soonish. Ps3 still has the upper hand for now in their lineup although ff12 going multi was a blow but it's not like it went to Microsoft exclusively.

So you guys need to chill and saying there is no games for the PS3 you would want to play is just a load of bull....

And the reason the ps3 is the best blu ray player is because the blu ray profile can be updated online.

A consoles life can't keep on going based on a secondary function of the system. Games are the main selling point, and the main reason most people have one. If their only argument is "Well, we have a blu-ray player", then I honestly don't see Sony going anywhere at all in the console wars.

Most people who bought PS2s did so because they didn't also own a DVD player.

If you are the player who's become disenchanted with JRPGs over the last 5 years (which is a lot of people), then the SE announcement probably didn't excite you as much as the Harmonix RB2 reveals or the Fallout 3 stuff. I am solidly in this camp but I'll be goddamned if I'm going to buy RB2 (no roommates, lol buying a 4 player game to play by myself) or Fallout 3 360 (already have the PC version preordered).

Getting down to it even the Netflix 'instant' business is more interesting than the slew of 90-hour JRPGs that they've dumped on the NA audience at E3.

And if you honestly think that you have no reason at all to own a PS3 then I hope you have fun not playing God of War III.

Anyone else pumped about Gears of War 2, that trailer gave me chills. The game play looks kick ass.

Sony had to know about it, as I'm sure that SE had to prompt them contractually for exclusivity rights. Gives me a glimmer of hope that sony will also drop a huge bomb knowing they'd look like the kid who just got his ass kicked if they have a subpar conference. Kinda shocked at no motion device for the 360 after all the smoke and mirrors.

guys, why are you guys worrying about sony? if you really did buy PS3 for ff13 you should be sweating about whether the game quality itself will drop now that its development involves code adapting for multiple systems

Well Im happy how amazing fallout 3 looked, and I'll get it for 360, for the extra conent, gunna be hard to decide what system to get FF13 for tho, I so saw that comin tho.

It comes on G4 for me at 11 Central and goes to 3 Central for both Nintendo and Sony's conferences, so I'm looking forward to that.

Did anybody else shit themselves during the Fable 2 demo? Game looks gorgeous and I can't wait to see how co-op will work it's way into the game.

Yeah, the Fable world is pretty huge.

Being able to see your friends playing the game in real time, and then having the option to invite them into your world is pretty crazy. I wonder if you'd be able to trade items/armor too.

I'm wondering how the transperancy will work...like I can invite my friend but he takes 3minutes to join might suck. If it's like joining COD4 matches from invites etc, it would be pretty cool.
