What I really feel bad for is Sony's Home. What features can/will they announce that aren't already out on Xbox Live?

Most people who bought PS2s did so because they didn't also own a DVD player.

Again, like I said, you can't base a gaming consoles life just because it can play DVDs. That being said, I know A LOT of people who have a PS3, but no HDTV. Not saying it isn't a great addition, but I got it to play games, not purchase $30 movies that I can buy for $10 and watch regularly.

If you are the player who's become disenchanted with JRPGs over the last 5 years (which is a lot of people), then the SE announcement probably didn't excite you as much as the Harmonix RB2 reveals or the Fallout 3 stuff. I am solidly in this camp but I'll be goddamned if I'm going to buy RB2 (no roommates, lol buying a 4 player game to play by myself) or Fallout 3 360 (already have the PC version preordered).

I wasn't interested in Fallout. RB2/GH:WT look promising and very fun, though.

Getting down to it even the Netflix 'instant' business is more interesting than the slew of 90-hour JRPGs that they've dumped on the NA audience at E3.

Are you even a fan of JRPGs? Assuming you are, if this announcement didn't tickle your penis just a tad bit, and the Netflix announcement intrigued you more, then I'm sorry.

I'm looking forward to God of War 3, and I never said that I have absolutely zero reason to own a PS3 now. I just said that based on the titles that I personally am interested in as a gamer, I can't justify to myself yet forking over that amount of cash for just one title at the moment.

Anyone else pumped about Gears of War 2, that trailer gave me chills. The game play looks kick ass.

I'm excited for it too, although the E3 presentation was kind of lame.

I'm wondering how the transperancy will work...like I can invite my friend but he takes 3minutes to join might suck. If it's like joining COD4 matches from invites etc, it would be pretty cool.

They showed it in the demo. Players connected to live appear in your game as little floating orbs, touching them in-game allows them pop into your world instantly.

All you would really need to do is pick one rendezvous point and just play from there.

Yeah, I think Sony's first- and second-party games are a pretty good reason to own a PS3 (Resistance, Ratchet, Uncharted, GoW, and GT; LBP also looks promising), but damn, I still feel a bit jipped.
