I know this is like a day late and all but I was rewatching the fallout 3 gameplay shown in the Microsoft conference, did anyone else think this game played extremely awkward?

I had high hopes for this game before, I was all excited about hunting zombies and shit with my dog but the combat system looked incredibly slow and awkward to use and the whole targeting a body part thing seemed like it would be ok for the first 5 minutes then get incredibly repetitive. This is of course assuming that you can turn off the whole mini cutscene thing when targeting a body part or else 5 minutes of not being repetitive will be pushing it.

The AI also looked incredibly dumb, but I'm guessing they will fix it, although that one dude on the bridge acted like he had a lobotomy right before the shootout.

The environment graphics looked really nice as well as the weapons selection seemed neat but I think my expectations of the game has been lowered a bit by that gameplay video.

yeah i kinda agree idk how long the zooming in would last before it gets old but it still looks fun and u dont have to use it

Ugh, are we really looking at more shooters? I'm getting bored just looking at them. Gears is the only action shooting game I'm buying for a while. The market is so damn saturated at this point and I'm tired of people trying to put their "new spin" on the same tired old genre.

I wish there were more games to the tune of assassin's creed really Where there aren't any guns at all in the game, just using knives and shit. Shooting different renders of the same gun gets old after even just 2 games, just like the whole WWII theme in 2/3 of them. I think FPS games are kinda the reason I'm more excited about LBP than any other game coming out in the next year.

I know it was repetitive, but I meant the general gameplay element of it. Like, instead of guns and rocket launchers blowing shit up you got knives and swords only aiming at your target (if you dont do sidequest shit). Like MGS but without the guns

So Bungie just posted a letter saying they had a huge reveal planned for E3, and Bungie came out with the PS3 crew. Now their main webpage has a memo saying they cannot reveal anythigng as per their publisher. Cooincidence? Something big planned for PS3, thwarted by MS?

Where is the 'none of the above' option for the poll? This many press conferences later and the games I'm most excited about for the next two years are either not exclusive to a console (Fallout 3) or aren't coming out for a console at all (see Blizzard).

well, it's not especially E3, but apparently SE has some kind of private party they're doing after E3 is over? it had some weird ass name, DKnumbers, but people were saying there was a chance they'd show something new there rather than at E3, which seemed entirely about FF13 apparently
