E3 is dead to me

I give up on E3, all I saw were FPS, music games and games from Nintendo that I would never buy. I just hope TGS has some RPGs that I actually care about, considering E3 had 0 (Old FFXIII trailer doesn't count).
Sony's presser was the one that sucked the least.
when is TSG?
I want to reiterate that the PSN movie service is everything and own...and this is day 1. I can buy Ace Ventura (fuck yeah) for like 10 bucks. Gonna have to upgrade the HDD soon, I can feel it.
weren't you just talking about you don't buy movies anymore earlier today? ._.
I was, then I seen Ace Ventura. Foot in mouth, etc.
Ok, internets rambling time.
The reason people are saying MS blew Sony away is simply this: Most people are judging E³ by what they read after it was announced rather than by watching the conferences. When I got online yesterday and opened up kotaku I almost had a kitten reading FF13 on the 360. So what if Versus is still 'exclusive', we haven't seen shit of it. It's vapor ware at this point. MS really had nothing other then that, other than long awkward pauses. Maybe there was supposed to to be a bungie announcement that got cancelled? Who knows.
Sony didn't have shit. SHIT! After watching other press conferences yes thier's was better, no doubt. But who cares? It was all auto fellatio, all of it. Even MSs'! IMO Sony didn't have one damn good thing that said 'here's why you should drop 400$ on a system, because it can play what your other box can't'. Downloadable movies that you can 'rent'? BALLS. Casual games that go for 'quality over quantity?' Translation: We're late to the party, but it's because we wanted to be pretty. Please love us.
So for a show where people expect surprises you have
1: FF13 for 360
2: FPS'S,FPS'S,FPS'S,FPS'S,FPS'S,FPS'S,FPS'S,FPS'S,FP S'S,FPS'S,HAY I HEARD YOU LIEK SHOOOTERS
3: MILLIONS BILLIONS!
4: Fat princess, which looks like its annoying as hell to play as I've already said (Crystal Chronicles 1 player onry)
aaaaaand finally;
Nintendo...damn. They've come a long way from E³ 2006 when they cock-slapped everyone. I think that the success of the Shovelware on the Wii isn't something they're addressing so much as encouraging? Which is odd. It's almost like they've lost sight of what happens when you sell gimmicky titles for maximum profit regardless of quality.
Not to say that could happen again, after all the whoops of '83 happened thanks to a lot of other factors. However the point remains that developers are using the Wii for gimmicky games and as a safe testing ground rather than establishing new franchises on it. See MegaMan 9, which looks interesting but if its successful how much crap will be churned out to duplicate it's success?
Over all opinion of E³: When's TGS again?
anyone who voted for nintendo is a baby OR a pedophile seeking to lure children into his basement.
Not reading ~50 pages since I last looked at this thread, so this will be horribly random:
Based on what has been seen so far, I'm most excited for (in no order):
- FFXIII (always was)
- MAG (holy shit)
- I Am Alive (looks awesome -- amazing potential)
- UFC Game (lol?)
- Rock Band 2 (dur)
- Guitar Hero World Tour (durr)
- Call of Duty: World at War (not a fan of going back to WWII, but CoD4 was so good I'll try it anyways (yes I know IW isn't making WaW))
Probably more I'm missing, just what's off the top of my head from going through Gametrailers. There's still one more day right?
I'm most excited for Fallout 3, Resistance 2, RE5, and Animal Crossing (this mostly). I don't have PS3 or 360, but I might pick one up for RE5 and Fallout 3. There are a few other titles (GTA4, Gears 2, FF13, etc) that I want to play as well, but those two really caught my eye for making the final decision on whether or not I wanted to picked up a 360 or PS3.
Biggest disappointment for me was RE5.
Holy shit I'm tired of this action bullshit in my Survival Horrors.
I thought RE5 looked great, and the ability the ability to have co op is an even bigger plus. My only hope (which they probably have already mentioned this) is that they don't pull the same shit they did with Outbreak and make communication between you and your partner(s) non existent.
I'm a sucker for the RE series, and co op play, so I'm probably biased about it at this point.
what was showed of RE5 did look more like MGS4 than previous RE (even though 4 was action-heavy, but just not so military about it, I guess).
I want some scary ass silent hill 2 shit from somewhere though.
I'm tired of everyone crying for co-op in every single game. Not every game needs it. Resident Evil was an amazing experience on the PS/Gamecube where you were alone, in a creepy ass mansion filled with zombies.
Of course I don't have to play it with someone else, but I've been down this road with 0, it was alright at best. Everything about Resident Evil pre-4 was so much better. Environments (Mansion, Raccoon City, even Antartica) were better than the random European setting and this Africa area. Can I has my dark and creepy areas back plox?
It's almost to the point where the fucking movies are closer to the original games, then what 4 and 5 are. There's actually zombies in the movies. =/
/NERDRAGE
Am I the only person that didn't find SH2 scary at all? I see lots of people tout it as the best in the series, but I thought it was boring, and not very frightening at all. Now, SH1 and SH3 on the other hand scared the shit out of me.
Can't wait for Homecoming, just hoping it'll be good.
