1, 2, and 3 were scary. Never played 4. Haven't seen much about Homecoming except some buggy version. Last RE I cared for was 3 and maybe Veronica, nothing after that.

Sony
E3 is dead to me

SH1 is the scariest shit I've ever seen/played. SH3 just got kinda really weird with the story... I dunno, more Twin Peaks-esque weird rather than scary.
2 is just omg its dark shit what's the noise AAAAH ZOMBIE SKITTERING FAST AS SHIT AROUND ON THE GROUND ok smashed it wait whats that holy fuck oh god that sound oh jesus where is it HOLY FUCKING CHRIST ON A CROSS PYRAMID HEAD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH OH SHIT OH MY GOD WHY THE FUCK AM I PLAYING WITH THE LIGHTS OUT FUCK THIS FUCK THIS
RE4 was incredible, how could you hate it >_>
The gameplay/style of the first 3 (and Zero as well to an extent) was getting old fast, they made a smart move in rethinking the series for Resident Evil 4.
Considering the financial/critical praise they received for 4, it's only logical for them to keep up with that style of game.
Case in point : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Residen...nd_recognition Say what you want about "not really being Resident Evil," when you garner in that kind of praise, there's no way in hell you're going back.
I understand why they did it. Just wish they didn't.
RE4 was a great game, but it was a horrible Resident Evil.
Fair enough. While I disagree, I can see what you mean. I just enjoyed the progression of the story into more along with the game play.
I was hoping the thing Ada stole at the end of 4 was gonna be used to make stronger/faster zombies. like 28days later/ RE3(movie) zombies. but they went back to the parasite things.
Apparently, Bungie has gone into the viral marketing scheme again (ilovebees, Iris) for their new game. People are saying the delay message on their website isn't real (seeing as how Harold Ryan isn't the President of Bungie anyway).

Plus, if you follow Bungie at all, you should know about their love of the number 7. The message is 7 lines long, the message was posted at 7:00 PM, etc.
People are guessing it'll be unveiled tomorrow at 7, since the countdown ended at 12:00, and was posted at 7:00. 12 + 7 = 19, which is 7 PM in military time.
All of this may seem silly and coincidental if you haven't been a part of their viral games in the past, but Bungie works in mysterious ways.
I forget which silent hill it was but i remember walking towards a elevator and then hearing some noise. Since the camera was in front of me pointing back i start to back up thinking it was something ahead of me i couldnt see. Soas im backing up the radio starts to get louder and as i get to the corner BLAM! Fucking pyramid head. One of two times i've had to actually pause a game and catch my breath lol
Silent Hill 5 has good odds at sucking I'm afraid.
Also if you haven't played 4 yet, play it. Game is a fine piece of craftsmanships, has perfect length, and many people considered it goty. Best on the Wii, especially if you don't like aiming in 3rd person.
Anyway, praise the wonders of casual and FFXIII multiplat. More important than actually having a good conference. But yeah, e3's console circuit is dead when 2 out of 3 companies make something I'd be too embarrassed to watch with my friends.
EDIT: Rumor mill out: Dead Rising for the Wii?
Speaking of survival horror games, I'm actually looking forward to Siren Blood Curse now. Sort of has me thinking of a mix of Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Uncharted. Going to have to play the demo really soon.
http://kotaku.com/5025707/dead-risingfor-the-wii apparently not a rumor, but why would they leave something like that out of E3? (capcom and nintendo both)

So my theory that it was FF:CC but one player was wrong. Its FF:CC without the miasma, but with online play and 16 players in VS mode.
in other words: Interesting.
Good to see that the Socom series will continue to suck further balls. I haven't seen a game disintegrate this quick from being the best shooter on the ps2 (socom 1/2) to absolute balls.
Wasn't a fan of Resistance, as the gameplay kinda sucked, but R2 looks pretty good.
I'm somewhat curious about that horde mode for Gears 2, because I never really played any of the other shooters that had that type of game mode. Also, what was that Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters stuff? That was the first time I'd heard anything about that IP going to PSP aside from Secret Agent Clank. It seemed like they just breezed by that section like it wasn't anything new.
Did they ever mention SOCOM in that presentation BTW? I never even saw a trailer of it in those little videos they made up, but I might've been looking away from the screen when it showed it.
