As for the whole movie service, it's not really the same thing. People aren't saying it's new and not many people care. All this does, concerning comparing the conferences, is block microsoft's whole movie service angle.

Speaking of that, netflix thing isn't free.

The only thing that really concerns me about that PS3 video service is that they may be playing catchup for a good long time before they get near as many movies available in their library. Other than that, each one is going to have it's own advantages and disadvantages (more movies, can't buy vs. less movies, can buy).

Give me a break. Gear 2 gameplay shits all over Killzone/Resistance. I really don't understand the Killzone hypetrain. The original was claimed as 'the' halo killer and turned out to be an average game with shitty controls. Until Sony proves otherwise, this game isn't going to be half as good as a proven IP in Gears. Resistance just has hueg like PS3 mobs, and the novelty will wear off after a few kills. The 5 player horde mode in Gears looks like it'll be way more fun realistically speaking.

And if you're not going to get excited over FFXIII because "it's nothing new" then theres no reason to get excited over PSN's video rental service considering "it's nothing new"... Xbox Live's had the same service for years now. Not to mention that free Netflix creams whatever selection Sony has too.

LBP looks fun, I just hope the game doesn't feel as slow as it plays. The characters move at a pretty slow pace for a 2-D platformer. I'll probably buy it though.

Only the media made Killzone 1 to be the Halo killer, the developer never ever said that themselves. As far as gears gameplay shits on Killzone 2, how can a game were you cover/shot and head the next room and do it again shit on anything? Gimme a break gears is a fun game but this gameplay is not anything special.

Anyway my point is, GoW2 is showing me nothing that shits all over either Resistance 2 or Killzone 2, this is as a neutral party. To make it seem like it's that big of a difference, you are going have to provide a little more insight, because I'm not seeing it. Unless you are speaking in terms of popularity/sales... to which shouldn't we be talking about Wii Sports?

Gears has the same huge mobs (that you get to ride lol) with better weapons. The weapons were already more fun to use to begin with. Now they're adding flamethrowers. The campaign was short, but as you've already stated, everyone and their mothers completed it because it's fun as hell. 5 player Unlimited Horde mode only adds to the depth considering it allows tighter/skilled groups to wave their epeen online with higher scores. Theres nothing definitive about Resistance 2 to say it's the same as Gears.

Killzone 2 gets so much love for how beautiful it looks, yet previews are always thin on actual game play. The gameplay was off in the original, so we're basically banking on a hunch that the game will play as well as it looks. This irritates me because every PS3 game known to man is always hyped on potential and not actual information.

What do you know about either title to say it's better than Gears?

75 player this. 256 player that. Sounds cool, but do you people really ever utilize it? Every single time I hear people talking about Warhawk, it's with a close group of friends. Rarely ever do I hear people laughing about some 30vs30 match that they pwned in.

So much credit is given to Sony based on potential. Sweet, let's all go oogle over pretty trailers and beat our meat for 2-3 years until the game releases.

And I don't know where you got your information, but if you have an account with Netflix then all of your movies will be available to be streamed on xbox with 8 other people. You don't pay anything extra for the service. If you're signed up then you're good to go.

Which would you rather have? 8.99 a month to watch every movie on Netflix, or pay a separate $2-5 fee for each movie you download on PSN?

Edit: You watch 2 movies/TV shows a month and the service has payed for itself.

Netflix isn't free and I'm pretty sure that you need a Gold account.

Also, stop talking about how fun Gears of War 1 was, I found it really shitty so you can't argue that with me. Anyway, I didn't say they were better than Gears of War II, I'm saying Gears of War II didn't show anything amazing that puts it above either game.

Personally, Killzone 2 class system has me excited. I love me some class systems.
